Water dispenser no longer works.

This sounds like the water inlet valve has gone bad.. First before u replace it check to see that you have water coming to back of fridge as it could be restricted causing no water to reach the fridge.

I guess the culprit in this case is the compressor.. Do you hear a sound when you are near the refrigirator.. it will be like a fan rotating at a high speed...

I've got the same problem...have de-thawed everything, (this was how we fixed it before) and still can't get water to dispense. Guess another 75 bucks service call...urgggg...

water valve problem. behind the fridge. 3 or 4 screws .2 water lines. really simple.

most fridges stop dispensing water when you open the door. Find the door switch and make sure fridge interior light goes on/off when you manually press door switch. This would show you that the door switch was faulty.

If the water connection to the appliance is one of those watts flood-safe water lines, it may have stuck shut. I've seen this happen when the house water pressure is too high.

Does it still make ice?

If so, then the water connection is good, and either the switch in the water dispenser has failed or the water shutoff valve for the water dispenser has gone bad.

Some models have a problem with the water line getting frozen, such that simply leaving the light on in the water dispenser compartment overnight and/or manually defrosting the unit can get it working again.

Seam than you either have a bad water valve or you water line has froze up Disconnect the water line going out of the water valve but live the one going in still connected and whit pressure and fridge plug up. have some towels handy, Ask a helper to press the water trigger if water squirt out of the valve when the trigger is press That means than the water line has froze up and you have bad thermostat and is letting get to cold on the fridge side. Id you don?t get water to come out test if you are getting power to the valve when triggered if you do get around 120volts then change the water valve

Has it stopped completely or just slowed to a trickle. If a trickle you need to replace the filter. If stopped either the feed line to the fridge has been pinched/shut off or the internal line has frozen, or the valve is no longer functional.

Our fridge did this. Unplugged, plugged back in and it reset and is now working.

Yes, it could be the water filter. Also check to make sure the water is turned on and that any lines to the refrigerator aren't kinked or crushed somewhere. It's also possible that you will not be making any ice as well if your appliance has an ice maker

turn the freezer side to zero fridge side will zero also . click for water it should work . just worked for me no water for 1month replaced the filter and everything.
