Hp D7160 Carridge won't undock

1. From the Start menu, shut down, then restart the OmniBook.
2. When you see the HP logo, press F2 to enter the BIOS Setup utility.
3. Select the Security menu.
Under Password Required To, choose when the password will be required.
Boot. Requires a password when booting the OmniBook. This option enables the next
two options.
Resume. Requires a password when resuming from Suspend.
Undock. Requires a password when undocking the OmniBook.
See the Manual for more details.

First change the old head with the new box pack head if the problem persist then change carriage unit the problem will be clear.

Try downloading the printer driver from the HP WEB site.
You can download the HP printer drivers from their supportWEB site. Please click on this link and select your model printer to download:-http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html

Try turning the printer off, opening the lid and if you can either grab the carridge or it's drive belt, move it all the way to the far (right hand) end and close the lid. power it up. The action of the printer re-setting the carridge position should make it either free whatever debris may be jamming it or simply sort itself - out. If the carridge moves very freely, the drive belt/gearbox may be damaged.
If this doesn't help, it may be time to look for a new printer ?

,The cartridges should have been supplied with the printer. If you didn't get them then return the printer for exchange.

Here write 4 step you do it step by step

1. remove safaty strip from the cartridge
2. clean carridge block contact with soft cloth
3. replace cartridge for short
4. replace carridge block

how can i print 4x6 photo paper ? it says load paper in the main tray its only printing with large plain paper , even if its set to photo tray , and if i put the 4x6 in the main tray it says wrong paper zize ...
