Check the door switch and once the door is shut the board must be active. If there is no clock or display then the processor board is faulty. Also if there is no action from the touch pad then it must be checked. Since the turntable works as you start the processor seems to work but the output to the magnetron is not active. So you need to check the relay to the magnetron switching, check the temperature cut off unit and the main capacitor.
All the above seems to be suspected.
Attempt with care/caution as there is high voltage present.
Sounds like a problem in the high voltage side. Need to check the diode and if good the voltage at the magnetron. Should be 3.5 volts across mag and 4500 dc volts at mag. If you do not have a meter to check replace both mag and diode aprox $150.00 from GE. Pat
The shelf supports will need to be replaced. It's best to replace them all.

Before you install the new supports, you should clean the cavity squeaky clean in those areas where they mount.
If any paint is chipped or charred, it should be sanded bare, then fresh high-temperature appliance paint should be added. That can be had from home improvement stores, or Wal-Mart, etc.
