How can i play ps2 on lcd without having a black and white screen ? how can i connect the cables ?.....when i look at the back of my lcd i find three ports (red white yellow) when i use them the screen is...

1) The set of input (Yellow= Composite video, Red= Right channel audio, White= Left channel audio). This set of input is for composite video.

2) The set of input (Red= Red video signal, Green= Green video signal + sync, Blue= Blue signal, Red= Right channel audio, White = Left channel audio (the Red and White will be grouped close together). This set of input is used for Component video for HD signal.

You should try using composite video source (Yellow RCA jack) from DVD player and feed to the monitor and see if it works OK with all color showing that way we acn find out if it is the video source problem or the monitor video signal processing problem. Try the PS2 on the TV if it works OK also.

How do I get PS2 to play on samsung syncmaster 2333

Since your television does not have the standard composite input that the PS2 came with, you would need to purchase a new cord. The easiest one to use would most likely be the component cord that uses the RED GREEN BLUE for video and RED WHITE for audio. If you were to inquire at your local gaming store, they may be able to get you the cord that you need for your PS2.

Can't get the play station to work with the tv. The av is plugged in correctly and the ps is turned on. Don't know which channel to go to, and when EXT we tried all different inputs and it still doesn't...

Which generation playstation are you referring to The PS2 or PS3. The PS2 would be connected with a composite cable by default i.e red white and yellow cable. Connect the cable to the corresponding input on the TV, match color codes. Switch to correct input by using your remote controller. Press the AV button and a list of inputs come's up.Select av1 or av2 and check if you get a picture. If you use a ps3 then same as before press AV button on remote and select appropriate option on screen HDMI,Component or Composite.

Do not know where to connect my wii or my PS2 to the mitsubishi 60 inch television. It has auxillary inputs in the back which are color coded but I'm color blind and that doesn't help. I've tried various...

Hopefully I can help. Normally the standard is Grn/Blu/Red top to bottom for component input. You want to observe that the input your using is component 1, 2,3 etc (so you know what input to put the tv on). The cables if not damaged should have the same order grn/blu/red in order so plug them in flat top to bottom and if not corect then switch the bottom and top (middle will still be blue). Next is the audio which is red/white these would go to the L/R settings. If all esle fails I would recommend a friend to connect the wires for you or to use a HDMI cable ($45-$100) which controls audio/video and is just one plug you cant mistake for anything else if your systems are capable.
FYI: Y=green PB=blue PR=red for your reference.

If you are using Component Input (green/blue/red inputs) with component patch cords, try using other input jacks ( Video In (yellow) or Cable/RF In). If the color is good, then replace your Component patch cord, the green one is broken.

DVD's not playing in color

sounds like the problem is the TV . your tv have to different inputs , COMPONENT is for the separate color , BLUE , RED , GREEN this is for better video quality , if your DVD doesnt have this OUTPUT feature , then maybe the YELLOW (VIDEO) , RED & WHITE ( AUDIO ) thats coming out from your DVD player is connected to the COMPONENT input of your TV , GETTING the B&W effect. it should be connected to the VIDEO input of your TV ( yellow , red , white ) hope this is helpful AJ

Trying to get ps2 to play on new tv..

USE a VCR between the PS2 and the Sylvania TV.  Hook the PS2 A/V cable RCA connectors( Red, Yellow, White) to one of the the Video input RCA connectors( Yellow, Red, White) on the VCR. Hook the VCR Cable output to your Sylvania Cable input. Set the Sylvania Tv to channel 3 or 4.  Set the VCR channel to Line 1 or Line 2.  This should work. I hope it helps you.
