Try the following steps to get out of the reboot mode:
Remove the battery, wait a few seconds and then re-insert it.
Press and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds.
If the above steps do not work, connect the phone to a charger and try again.
If all else fails, perform a factory reset. Note: Before performing a factory reset, make sure to back up important data as it will erase all data on the device.
Try holding down the power key for 30 seconds. You should see a white indicator light blink. If not then plug it into a charger that you know works. If your not using the original charger it may not be getting enough power. You may need to charge it for a couple of hours and then attempt to turn it on while on the charger by holding down the power button for atleast 30 secs or untill it turns on.
If you plug the charger into your phone and the battery icon does not change, then it means your physical connection is loose. If the battery connection does change but will not hold charge, then the battery is dead. I have managed 20 Q's in our office. Most of the time we just buy new batteries. Sometimes I fixed the connection by doing the following:
Use a needle nose plier and squueze the mini usb tip on the chargerslightly...very slightly. This will give it a "tighter" fit when you plug it into your phone. Make sure it's unplugged from the wall when you are doing this =).
If it just turns on and then off again, and then nothing happens, and if you have full battery capasity when you've been charging for a while, you are charging your phone, and nothing is wrong.. it's just a process when you put the charger in your phone...
First, try going to motorola.com and downloading their software upgrade. (this is free by the way). You'll just need to connect your phone to the computer with the proper data cable and run the software. This program will do the rest.
