Question about Danby DDR2504 Dehumidifier
While emptying the water from the reservoir the baffle fell out and two pins on the float broke. I attached the float back with two screws and replaced the baffle and now when it is full it doesn't shut off. What can I do. [email protected]

Attempt to feel the metal fins on the back of the unit. If they do not feel cool, then unit is either out of freon or compressor has failed or compressor is not running. If fins are cool, then insufficient air flow through unit -check fan- or room has very low humidity and humidistat is defective; not shutting down compressor.

Hi,
There
are many reasons why a dehumidifier will not work or collect water.
Here
is a tip that I wrote to help people to figure out what is going
wrong with their dehumidifier
Dehumidifier
is running but no water is in bucket

Danby turns on and the light flashes green, the dry light flashes green, but the water fill light flashes red. The fan does not come on and the compressor does not come on either. Any solution?
unit was filling up with water, unit says it will go back to dehumidifier mode after it is turned back on but this isnot happening...room where unit is damp
we have alot of moisture on our windows---we purchased this dehumidifier and have been running it for over a week & there seems to be NO water in the bucket. there is still a large amount of water on the inside of the windows.....what can we do to have this unit start collecting the water off the windows?
