Well, you need to return it for a new one. If it has happened in so many few weeks, you need to. It sounds like you may have downloaded a virus. you are going to reboot it and or restart it, you have tried this so it sounds like it is just messed up. exchange it or send it in to get it reset. It will run you about $35. Thanks, Connie

Press the home button, then click the down button until you see a graphic of slider controls. Then toggle the right (fwd ) button. Now scroll down to the last selection which is system settings - hit the fwd button again. Language is fourth down from the top. Hit the right (fwd) button again - English is at the top. Cheers!

LANGUAGE IS NOT ENGLISH

It was your setting. You can change it to english.
For sansa clip:
1. From main menu, select settings (picture with 4 bars)
2. Use up/down button to find " FM...", the language option is right about FM..., select it and use up / down button to find English.
3. Press home button to come back main menu
Good luck
For sansa clip plus:
1. the same as about.
2. Getting into Settings, you have 4 options (Music, Audiobook, Radio, and System Settings). Languages with letters (a, b, c, ....), you can see "Radio...." option, move the selection bar down 1 - it is System Settings. If Languages without letters a, b, c, ...., you have to get in to each option, at each option you move the selection bar down or up to find letters " USB...." , it means you are inside System Settings, from USB, press down button 6 times, and select it (language option), scroll up/ down to select English.
3. The same
Good luck

Everything in Japanese characters!

I had the same problem when I first got the player and selected another language. I looked at the booklet and figured when first turning it on, hit the down arrow 3 times, then select, then hit the down arrow 4 times then select is how I got to English setting.
