Horn does not work. Have replaced horn relay & fuse and it still isn't working. Please advise

or it is the horn, and that has gone bad. Could also be low voltage getting to the horn.
You should have a relay separate from the fuse for it.
Find that relay and swap it with another one of the same size.
like, if the power windows or headlights are the same part number for the relay, just switch them for the test.
if the relay is not the problem, and the horn itself is a no go, the problem could be in the steering wheel/horn ring. under the airbag.

There are also relays for the horn. First check would be the connections at the horn then the fuse. If the fuse isn't blown, it's possible that the relay has gone on it. Another item to check would be the wires leading up to the horn it's self. If any of them are frayed and touching bare metal, causing a short circuit, the horn wouldn't work then.

Open the hood. Find the horn. Put one hand on the horn.
Have someone else blow the horn. If you DO NOT feel a click or hum then no power is getting to the horn. Get the owners manual out and find the fuse for the horn. Check or replace that fuse. See if the horn works. If not working go to auto parts store and ask them to look up horn relay for your car. Ask them to show you where the relay is located. See if you can replace that relay yourself. good luck

Your horn circuit is very simple. It consists of the primary circuit, which controls the relay coil and the secondary circuit that applies voltage through the relay contacts to the horns.

The Horn fuse (10 Amp) in the engine compartment fuse block supplies the battery power for both the primary and secondary circuits. This fuse is haot at all times (regardless of the ignition switch position).

Battery power is supplied to Pin 1 of the horn relay. Pin one of the relay connects to both the relay coil and to the secondary main contact.

The ground for the relay coil is provided via the GREEN/BLACK wire through the horn switch. If the relay is clicking when you push the horn button, then the primary side of the horn circuit is working.

When the relay coil is grounded by the horn switch, the relay contacts come together (that's what makes the clicking sound) and supply voltage to the GREEN/WHITE wire that connects to the horn assemblies.

Check for battery voltage at the horn when the horn switch is pressed. If there is no battery voltage present, then the only thing it can possibly be is dammaged contacts in the horn relay or the GREEN/WHITE wire is broken between the relay and the horn.

If there is voltage present at the horn on the GREEN/WHITE wire, the only possibilities are bad horn assemblies or a bad body ground that is not allowing the horns to ground properly. A bad ground condition can be verified by running a jumper wire from the battery NEGATIVE post and connecting it to the mounting bolt at the horn. If this makes the horn work, then you probably need to repair your body grounds near the battery.

Most horn sytems on vehicles have power to the horn, and the horn
button simply completes the circuit to earth.
Check to make sure the earth lead bolted to the front panel is clean and tight, check also that there isn't a horn relay under the fuse box cover, it may be faulty.
You will need to make sure that at least one of the wires to the horn has 12 volts going to it, if not, the fuse may have blown.

Check in your owner's manual for the location of the horn relay. It will usually look like a small metal or plastic box that plugs into either the main fuse box or the high amp fuse box under the hood. If your horn fuse is good then most likely the horn relay needs replaced.

You will have to trace the wiring. There is a short somewhere before it reaches the actual horn or light. Horns pull an extreme amount of amperage. The relay may be stuck or the wiring to the switch may be bad. My bet would be a shorted switch or relay.

when you push on the horn button do you hear a click.if so this is the horn relay working which tells you that the button,fuse,relay and wiring is good.there is a fuse panel under the dash on the drivers side.it may be that the horn needs replacing even thought the truck isn`t very old.

Start by having someone press the horn while you feel the relay with your finger. If the relay clicks when the horn is pressed then the switch is working properly and your problem is between the relay and horn assembly.

This wold indicate that you have a shorted horn circuit. Generally, the horn circuit has a negative contact at the steering wheel, meaning when you push the button, it grounds (-) the sysem causing the relay out in the engine compartment area to provide 12V (+) directly to the horn. If nothing else causes the fuse to blow, the pwr window/sunroof., then either the relay itself is shorting out or a wire to the horn is grounding, or you have a bad horn. (spend a few fuses & save time, unplug the relay, replace the fuse & press the horn button & see if the fuse blows. Next, plug in the relay & do the same for the horn)

Generally it won't be the wire from the horn button or the horn would be working continually. Your owners manual should tell you where the relay is & you could see if you notice any unusual appearance to the case, as well as following the wiring from there to the horn, to see if any damage is apparent. IE: if the horn is located in the front grill area or near a opening in the fenderwell, does it appear a rock or something has hit it or any wiring causing damage. With a vehicle as new as yours, if it isn't obvious damage, I would suspect the relay. good luck
