Hmmm, kinda vague on your query. Lines show up where? I'll take a stab at the most common place where lines show up and that's on the ink jet print itself. When lines & bars show up generally you need to clean the print heads & your printer has a utility to do that - somewhere.

I have this problem too on a Pentax Optio S6, horizontal stripes all over the picture no brigthness control on exterior photos. It was solved by replacing a broken flat cable that controls the shutter apperture on the front of the objective. Definetly not the ccd sensor, just a faulty cable, caused by natural retracting movement of the objective.

My TV has lines on, the screen how to,remove the lines?

The reason why there are lines appearing on your TV's screen is because the T con board is at fault.Or there could be a problems with the screen its self.

I have Soney TV KDL-46EX713. Green lines come on/off the screen. Sometimes screen goes entirely green with background picture still visible. Sometimes only green lines flicker like in picture below.

Looks like power supply board fault. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

Line faults & possible causes to LCD screen are given with illustrations. You can get an idea about the fault to an extent. Faults to all LCD screen are similar, irrespective of its brand and screen size.

Two tone screaching sound

In most cases the cause would be bad capacitors in the power supply. You can get repair kits from sites like www.TvRepairKits.com to fix this

My t.v starts well then after a short while, the picture starts reducing its horizontal until one horizontal line is left ,then goes off. What is the problem?

The most likely thing happening is that an electrolytic capacitor is failing, causing the horizontal signal to decrease. I'm not sure if many techs troubleshoot to the component level anymore, since most circuits are incorporated into boards that they replace, to fix the problem. You can sometimes contact a Mobile TV Repair Service to come out to your place to fix it, but you should also contact Sony to see what they can offer:

It's a good idea to contact Sony, since there are recalls that occur, in which case the unit is usually swapped out.
Good luck, and hope this helps.

Vertical lines that scoll the screen picture.

Ok this problem is coming from either your tv sets vertical circuit or the tuner itself is faulty, most likely the problem is coming from your vertical circuit with bad solder on the vertical ic or you have a faulty capacitor which can also cause this problem what i would suggest unless you have electronic experience on troubleshooting electronic components is to take it to near by tv repair shop and have then troubleshoot this circuit to see which component is giving you this problem, thank you, hope this helps.

Take the TV cabinet apart and unplug and replug all the circuit board connectors, that may fix the issue.

Takes sometimes up to 7 times to get TV turned on and to stay on with a picture

I believe you have a loose conection in the horizontal deflection circuit,a good place to start checking is the horizonatl driver transformer ,horizonatl output transistor and output transformer, one thing to try is taping on side of the set to see if it reacts and does something different,If you are familiar with tv service this information will give you a place to start but if you are not too familar see the assistance of a servicer,it should not be expensive.

No power even standby LED..

This is like a car running without a driver, the horizonatl output transistor has the voltage it needs but it does not have horizontal drive signal applied to the base of the horizonatl driver transistor, the driver transistor should have a signal coming from the signal processor where the signal is generated just to get give it to the driver this driver then it gives it to the output to energize the flyback and light up the picture tube and generate a few other supplies,158 volts are there because the output is not turn on,try measuring voltage somewere else in the set and not at the collector of the output, there is a b+supply that goes to the signal processor(8 to 12 volts),check to see if you have this voltage,I couldn't tell you the pins in the siganl processor IC without squematic,It seems you know your way around tv service but be careful when checking voltages.Let Us know if you need more information.
