42" Vizio TV flickering strobing easy way to repair VW42L HDTV10A LCD TV ... EASY How to Fix Samsung LCD TV Flashing Flickering Screen!Missing: vp422hdtv10a snow
The white glow with no picture means that either the ribbon cable connection between the logic board and the monitor has come lose or dirty contacts, or the LCD Controller (T-CON) board (part of the LCD panel is not getting 5v or 12v depend on LCD panel from the logic board or the LCD controller board has blown fuse, see pictures here for guide (note pin on the LCD board with arrow mark is pin 1 and is the incoming DC power supply line): http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/LCD%20panel/?action=view¤t=DSCF0881.jpg
You may also want to look for bad caps (bulging top) on the logic board. There should be 5vdc feeding the logic board also.
the most likely the t-connector board became unplugged or failed completely (sits right behind the screen modual at the top¢er) or.. the logic board has went kaput on ya...ontop of that, you are dealing with the notorious sony. try and get a replacement if under warranty. do not settle for thier refurbishing.
repairing these things i can tell you , it could be anything from a bad connection or ring cracks to completely failed parts. but only if i was in it would i know for sure. but the symptoms suggest t-connector or the logic board.
Have the Digital board and logic board replaced. the most common problem will be the logic board assembly. Altho the Digital board can also cause this problem. Try taking off the back and making sure the LVDS Cable is connected tightly to the logic board assembly and the panel, (Scrn), The LVDS Cable will look like a small wire harness with two metal clips on each end make sure it is secure, try disconnecting it and reconnecting it again.
Since you do have sound but snow for picture is your TV 54J or 54U chassis the PT50DL54J chassis shows 4 tuners also Have you look for Leaky or Bad capacitors if they are puffed up on top they are Bad 2200uf 25v 1000uf 25v Look for bad capacitors on tuner Boards, and I have seen where they are on Power supply board that will affect Picture.
Hi there! The panel may be in protection mode. The Inverter board is the most logical area to start after checking power supply Voltages.(5,6,24 and 13Volts). There may be coils on the Inverter Board which have bad soldering or faulty. Other than this it may be main board which controls switch on or off. If all else fails, refer to a repairer. Beware of High Current!!! Best Wishes and Good Luck, Jus004
If the screen works for a short while and then completely fails once the TV warms up you have a problem with the main unit video board or the LCD control logic board. Most often if the picture cuts out but audio continues to work the logic board is over heating and should be replaced. However if the picture cuts out and audio shuts off as well then its your video input board.
I had a problem with a Samsung 46 inch LCD and it had audio and dim light but no picture and found out that the logic board toward the top (inside tv) was bad and was no longer available and the only way to fix it was to get the entire display panel (the logic board came with it) It was not costwise to repair. Hope this helps.
No picture, just black screen
Check R3414, an SMD chip on the CRT board. There could be invisible bad solder joints
Replace relay RY481 on S2 board
Picture int disappears leaving snow on screen
Resolder the Xtal in the tuner
Try to replace the Logic Scan board on the upper left side of your tv. The part no. is printed on the board and you can order it from Panasonic's Website. Also check the Service Manual for the part description and part no.
