Ok, clicking repair is a stupid setting that windows puts in as when you click it it immediately returnsyour pc's ip address to a windows default ip address which you router cannot read and therefore disconnects you. Go to your network adapter properties, right click on task bar icon on go to network connections and right click>properties TCP/IP line and click properties again then select if not already 'obtain ip address automatically', then ok it and close windows. If you are connecting through a router you need to get into the set up menu of ypur router by typing the router ip adress in your web browser(refer to manual for the address)and look for the conections menu and ensure your password and username is correct and make sure DHCP is enabled so as to give your pc an automatic ip address

start>control panel, then double click on network connections icon, then on your network card connection icon right click>properties and click on the TCP/IP line and click properties again then select if not already 'obtain ip address automatically', then ok it and close windows.

Limited connectivity

Limited connectivity (this phrase occurs first inside the WIN 8 OS) means, that you have connection with your router already, but NOT to the internet. Pls. check, if you have access to internet from other computers or smartphone connected via the same router.
If so, sometimes a driver-update for your D-Link could be useful.
Check also, if other wireless adapters are working with the same frequency, this may disturb. Try to change the channel or change from 2,4 GHz to the 5 GHz Channels, if the router & your D-Link Adapter will support this.
I had the same problem with my WIN 8 - PC and I had to change the (wireless) radio-channel.

Can't connect to internet

You have provided very limited info on your problem. It might be hard to give a price solution. It sounds like you can connect with another PC but not your Sylvania 7" G-Netbook PC.

My internet will not connect. Says the strength is strong, but internet is still unable to connect. We are using the netbook by sylvania. We have the lynxis router and the internet is constantly...

Please check in the Network connection whether the Connection status shows Limited/Local only.
If in case the it shows Limited Only, then follow the steps:
1) Unistall Network Driver and restart then Reinstall the Network Driver.
2) Installed Updated Driver from the Manufacture Site. restart.
3) This should resolve the issue. If the connection status show Connected/ Internet. Then Configure the Wireless connection, by accessing the Router. Check the Router configuration and computer's configuration,.

Problem with Network and Wireless driver

Hello Ken,

It sounds as if the problem is with your wireless setup. If you go into your property setting for the wireless when you are "connected" to your router, make sure it is showing a Gateway IP address. If not, you get limited or local access only. You will need to get the gateway IP address from your ISP provider or if you know the IP address of the router (DHCP) you can get all the IP addresses to get you connected to the Internet.

Good Luck

Limited or no connect

Hi i'm Rain.
Limited or no connectivty means that your router is not picking up the connection or it is connecting but may have something blocking the connection.
To repair this you will need to reinstall the routers drivers to your computer. You should have a disk that came with the router. Use the disk to reinstall the needed drivers to connect to the internet.
If you do not have the disk , the easiest way is to call whom ever you got the router from and have them bring the disk out or go pick the disk up. Always remember when you have a router installed by a company the disk belongs to you. Most times the technician will not give you the disk because that way you will have to call them to come out to reinstall it. Thats more money outta your pocket.

Not getting connected to the Broadband internet

Right click on the wireless LAN and then click Repair. Do this in the Control Panel - Network Connections. This will force the wireless LAN card to get a new TCP/IP address from your wireless router.
When you get this Limited connectivity message do a repair - this is a common problem - the wireless connection icon is also on your Task Bar, you can right click in it to do a repair.
