There are a number of forums that deal with the error codes for this and other models---if you want to find the answer for yourself Google the full model number with "4 blinks" or "error codes" and if you cannot find the answer leave me a note here and I will research it and find out.
Keep in mind the blink code is just a general indication of what is wrong---it does not mean replace part XYZ and set will be working again.
Hi, If you see standby red light blinking on Tv front with 3 seconds interval then count its blinks from pause to pause and let me know, its an error code. And if TV does not even show standby light then check fuse in power supply that would be blew off for some reason, replace it. Still problem? let me know with exact model number of your Sony TV. Thanks.
The light is flashing an error code to you telling you what the problem is with the set. Either refer to your handbook or go to the Sony website to find out what the error code means. Hope this helps.
Sony FD Trinition Wega KV-32HS510 Try to turn tv on -it starts then shuts off -stand by lights keeps flashing. Memory stick light flashes then goes off.
Try turning the tv off, then unplug the tv from the wall for at least 60secs. Plug it back in. Turn it on and see if the blinking has been reset to normal.
