My G400 started sticking with the lens in the extended position.
After seeing a tip on another website, I can now cure it by tapping the camera lightly on my wooden desk surface - the lens then retracts. Don't know if that would work for your Casio though. Also bear in mind physical jarring may damage it in other ways.

Dont touch the lens leave it out. Recharge the battery and re try or a fresh battery. It is possible the battery is not fully charged or has a dirty bottom end plate Contct the makers tech support team

With the camera only new purchase - the makers web site should be helpful.

But it notice the topice is referring to
    Minolta Dimage G400
    but you are talking Casio
So if you are contacting the Support team is it the correct one for your camera?

Card locked

1) If you take out the memory card there will be a small unlock/lock switch on the side of it (that may be the problem?)

2) If step 1 does not work, than it's an internal issue w/camera and you will have to send it to Casio for repair. Here is the link www.ecasiorepair.com. They will charge $39-115 if the camera is not under warranty.

My casio exilim EX-z1050 power problem

The best thing to do is to take into a camera shop or Best Buy and find out why it isn't working. It could be an easy fix and solution once someone looks at it.

Multiple Problems

The zoom and power button are all part of one small assembly/circuit on the EX-Z1050. It sounds like this piece is faulty.
