Double printing with HP 2410

I simply cannot get rid of double printing of some letters. It is happening with some letters when I am printing.

Quite simply it prints some of the letters partially and overlapping them with the same letters. In other words it is printing something like SS or MM with the second letter overwriting the first one partially. So the first letter is half visible horizontally.

Thanks guys - First I think I will pursue Jackboy's line of investigation which I suspect could be the case and secondly, as atlaskuk2007, suggested - let me tell you I am not using refilled or second hand print cartridges.

In any case i will get back to this notice board once I have exhausted the suggested investigattion. Thanks for your help once again.

    Regards
    Steve

Hi ste, sounds like the printing head, if you use recycled cheap ink i would highly recommend buying original cartridges, but before you do that i want you to go to hp's website and download the latest driver for your printer, uninstall the old one and install the new one, your problem is either hardware which is the cartridges or software in which case i provided a solution let me know how you got on regards

Do not fully comprehend the description do you mean blurred or printed twice overlapping type of thing? The HP Tech support team should want to know about this also www.fixyourownprinter.com.

    Not the cart
It is a software problem some like a stutter. Remove the printer software restart the computer and print a test page.
    Now this is important
When after installing the printer you are asked to print a test page.
It is the printer doing it from its own built in software- not coming from the computer at all.

    So
If it is still a dodgy print you will know it is some weird with the printer and this is some thing tangible you can tell HP support

Like wise if you print a word document[from the computer] and it is doubled ,but the test page is clean- then you will know to look to the computer for the problem

Hello, My hp 2410 printer is printing very slow. How can I fix it?

Navigate to the Windows control panel and double click Printers and Faxes. Now right click on your printer and select Printing Preferences.
Then click the quality tab and select either Standard or draft.
Click apply and Ok.
Check each print for the desired, quality over speed trade off.

Take care!

Will not print on command

Greetings welcome to Fixya.

Might I suggest downloading and installing the latest drivers for your HP Printer.
See my published guide entitled How to Install the latest drivers for Hewlett Packard Printer!!!

Be sure to connect the USB cable to both the computer and the Printer then turn on the Power. Try different USB ports on your computer/laptop.

Navigate to the Windows control panel and double click printers and faxes.
Click print test page on the bottom right of the box.
Also view the print que, right click on your printer and set it as the default printer.
Then in properties view the print que!

Also when you are printing in MS Word, click file print, then when the settings come up for the print ensure that your HP PSC 2410 All-In-One InkJet Printer is selected in the top most section of the box.

Tell me how it goes via comment!
Thanking you

It prints really really slow

Expect pictures to print slow no matter what.
For letters and all text documents set your printer up to print draft for the best printing speed.

HP PSC 2410 printing extremely slow

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. The maximum speed of the printer is 8 pages per minute, which cannot be exceeded. This speed is measured using "Letter" sized paper. "Letter" is a U.S. standard paper size, which is smaller than European A4. Your print job may be very complex. Try the following:
  • Reduce the complexity of your document (reduce the number of multiple graphics, etc.).
  • Try a different graphics mode setting in the driver, under the finishing tab.
  • Try printing the document at 300 DPI.
  • If system resources are low, try printing with fewer applications running.
Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

I have a hp psc 2410 .the black is printing beautifully but the colour it printing doubled or blurry. changed colour cartridge and still the same. help please

Your inkjet nozzles may be clogged with old dried ink. Try removing your color cartridge and looking at the area on your print carraige where the inkjet cartridge mates up with the carriage. Use a Q-tip and warm distilled water to gently swab this area until all the old ink is dissolved and it wipes clean. You may need several Q-tips for this. Allow to air dry and reintall your print cartidge. Your printer should go into an automatic cleaning cycle. You may also need to gently clean the area on the cartidge itself using the Q-tip method. Good luck.
