PS 2 Dear Sir/Madam, I bought a PS2 from Hongkong which is a Japan domestic (J) format. I can not get J format games in Bangladesh and the UC formats available here do not work. How can I play games in the UC format. Please help. Best regards, Mashud Hasan

You have to put a modchip in itso you can play multireginal games i guess go to a games show and ask do they do ps2 chips

Hai.....i have a ps2 and iam running a game of ntsc/us format disk...yesterday a bought a ps2 disk of pal format...after using it in the ps2,it is not recognizing the disk and giving a error...PLEASE...

good buddy,if your ps2 is pal then you can only play disc with the region 2 designation only,if you want your ps2 to play other region such as ntsc/uc U.S. or ntsc/j ***.you need to bring it to a certified techman for modding.thats the only way for you to dissolve this problem.

This problem actually related to the region change.For this problem you have to install a modification chip in your PS2 console after that it will play all your games according to your region.
For this you have to contact any expert nearby to you.

Hey buddy FORMAT DISC means PAL games or NTSC games format.

There are 2 formats dics in this world for the PS1,PS2,PSP,Wii,Gamecube.etc

They are [NTSC] and [PAL]

[NTSC] is for North America and Japan ONLY. [NTSC] is Original games.

[PAL] is for Asia Only. Which is copied games form the Originals.

I need to know were did you bought PS2 Console from ?

If you bought it in North America or Japan then you have to buy and play Original games from North America Only.

If you bought your PS2 in Asia then you can play copied games.

It is most likely your PS2 is a NTSC, your PS2 cant read any PAL games so it will say format dics.
