The round access panel turns about 5 degrees then it pulls off. If you try to pop it off you will break it. Once it's removed there is a twist on cover to gain access to the pump guts to look for crud. Unscrew the cover (put a pan under it because water will come out) and look around for anything that doesn't belong there. When you reassemble it, there is a piece on the cover that has arrows on it pointing down. Put that on the bottom and screw the cover back on.

My guess is that if your washer is full of water, it will all drain out when you disassemble the pump guts.

Usually on nexxt machines the panel just pulls off, directly away from the machine. Here is the link to the user manual if you need it, however it doesn't go into any detail on the front access panel; If you want to be absolutely sure before doing anything then the best way would be to drop an e-mail to Bosch; Their service is second to none and I am sure they can answer any questions you have. Hope this helps :)

Any more info? If you can, try and take a few photos and post them, from a few angles. Maybe we can spot something different on your model.

    On the first link i posted;

check page 13 - on the lower front right of the machine is a circle marked - this should be the cover you have to undo - if you don't have this small circular cover then photos around the front panel will maybe help.

Check page 31 about descaling - a descaling agent (look in your store for a citric acid one and follow the instructions) maybe worth a try.

Do you get the "Drainage blocked?" message (bottom of page 34) on your machine's display?

If you disconnect the drain hose from the main drain, does water flow out if you run the machine?

    I need more info :)

Won't drain the water anymore

Drain motor is usually located on the bottom of the machine. Hopefully you have an access panel separate from the main door panel. Should be a hose coming in and a hose going out. Put the machine in spin cycle and see if you can feel the pump spinning. If the pump is very hot, chances are something is blocking it. They will usually have an access port that can be opened up just for this reason, be ready to catch the water when you open it up, and please turn the machine off first. If you get no sign of life from your pump it may have died. Also check for any blockages in the drain lines. All of this should be easily accomplished with a couple screwdrivers and towels

Bosch E13 error on washer - shows e-13 and door will not open.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

E13 error in your Bosch WFMC washer is a drain error and is displayed when the drain time exceeds & the washer is unable to drain so the door won't open sometimes when this error is displayed. You will have to clean the drain trap in the bottom right hand corner. You can stick a straighten paper clip in the access panel located inside the front bottom panel through the whole and then turn the access panel counter clockwise to unscrew the plastic drain cap behind it. After everything is cleaned and the error returns then replacing the drain pump is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Door will not open

typical problem for front load washer is that it stops when it comes to a rinse or spin cycle.there is something blocking the drain order to drain all the water out of the washer the best way is to use a wet dry shop vac.
attach the vaccum to the end of the drain hose and remove all the water.
once the water is removed the door should unlock.then you can access the drain pump from either the front or rear panel depending on the model you have.some models will have a access panel on the front to check to drain pump however if you do not see anything in the pump.
then the obstruction is in the part of the drain hose that leads from the bottom of the tub into the drain pump.if there is no obstruction found then you need to check the wiring and make sure it is securely attach.
last thing when all else fails replace the drain pump

F21 fault. How can I fix it fast, the service company can't come for a week. I understand it's the pump or a clog. How do I access the pump. We misplaced the manual.

Hi, you access the pump as follows:
1. Unplug the machine
2. Remove the lower front panel (the full width metal panel below the door). There should be 3 or 4 screws holding it in place.
3. The pump is mounted to the base, and faces forward. Unscrew the clean out plug from the front. Use a shallow pan to catch the small amount of water that is in the pump and hoses. Clean the screen, etc.
4. Put it all back together and plug it in.

Good luck.

F02 is fault code for DRAIN, the pump may be blocked or the drain hose blocked or kinked. Most washers have an access plug behind the lower front panel of the machine which you can open and check for blockage of the pump.

Washing machine flashing oe

OE = Drain Error • Not fully drained within 10 minutes.
Check and clean the pump filter. The access panel is located on the front, bottom left of the machine. Place a towel under the front of the pump filter access panel opening before opening to catch any water that may flow out.
Check drain hose on the back of the machine for any kinks or blockage.

Just hooked up my new front loading washer and door won't open. It seems like the machine thinks it is midcycle ...but, it has never been used. Manuals are inside closed washer. Have disconnected and...

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

The Bosch washers have always had an emergency door release, it is much easier to access on the new models though, they`ve placed it in the lower service panel.

Below I`ve attached my instructions for accessing the drain pump however, the latch release is located in the same place.

Once you`ve accessed the pump area via my instructions you`ll see a plastic "pull cord". If you pull it the door should unlock.

Let me know if you have nay trouble. Good luck.

**Unplug the washer from the wall or turn off the breaker at your service first**

Start by removing the bottom front panel which provides access to the drain pump and manual door lock release.

1) Carefully lift and block (up with a 2x4 or egual block of some type) front of washer to provide access to screws along the bottom which are angled slightly.

2) Remove three (3) screws, then carefully slide panel down and away from washer.

3) You should now see the pump access filter to your right, as such...

4) The pump has a small tub connected to it which will allow you to try and drain the water from it before removing the filter.

5) The filter will unscrew counter clockwise...careful it likely has water in it. This is where a wet-dry shop-vac comes in handy....or a nearby floor drain.

6) Now pull out the trap and visually inspect the inside of the pump as well as the filter/trap. Hopefully you'll find the item/debris that initiated the error code.

7) After removing any debris or obstruction`s re-install the button trap/lint filter and plug the washer in to power or reset the breaker and give it a test.

8) Run a load and watch for leaks. Leave the pump access panel off until you are sure you screwed the cap in tight and there are no leaks.
Ultimately you may have a faulty drain pump, but I would certainly start by performing the things I listed first.

Let me know if you require further assistance and if not and this solves your problem, please rate the solution I provided accordingly.

Thank you for coming to "fixya" and good luck.

Where?s the filter on my GE WSXH208A Front Loader? Thank you beltronic205 (GE WSXH208A Front Loader won?t drain). I drained the tub by lowering the drain hose as suggested. But where is the filter, what...

There is no acutal filter on this unit...You cab remove the back panel to access the drain pump ...Or tilt the washer back and access it from the bottom...Remove the drain hose from tub to drain pump...(careful of flow of water from tub)...Check the hose for any blockage...If no blockage then your pump is bad..

Water does not drain way

First check the drain hose is not blocked.

If you do not find anything in there, then you need to access the drain pump, opening the panel at the bottom on machine front, undo the hose from the pump and clean the hose. You find detailed instructions on machine owners manual.

Drain Pump

first : open panel (front or back ) to access inside of washer . second : follow the drain hose thats connected to a little motor ( drain pump ) . take it out and check for any debri that could be blocking the impellers .
