Hi, and thank you for taking the time to help me, this is my problem, last week i connected a small network at home and all was going well, i could access to both computer and transfer files, 1 week later i disconnected my main pc and took it to a friends house, but i never connected there, later when i was back at home i reconnected everything and the network doesnt wor anymore! i plugged the cable and the led turns orange and green, but the pc doesn't recognize the newtwork device, i really have no idea what this could be, i tried to reinstall the driver, in the bios everything is enable or ON, if you know what is causing this let me know, thank you so much.
I have the same problem on my A8N-SLI board. The ethernet is on board, so reseating a card is not an option. Also, as the original poster said, the BIOS does not detect the ethernet as being plugged in anymore.. this is far before any OS has booted, so it's not a driver issue.

I think your problem is a software problem in the registry, not hardware. Finding it may be difficult. Temporary fix: If you have enabled Windows' SYSTEM RESTORE mode, then restore the system to a date earlier than the problem occurred.

I'm sure you checked everything from the sound of things. Uninstall the drivers. Turn off the pc. Pull the case off, take out the network card. Restart the pc and let it boot to windows. Shut it down. Reinstall the card and let windows find it again, and reinstall the drivers. You might have to start over, uninstalling all drivers and cards and reinstalling them.
