Firewire Not Detected

Hi! This is my first time asking for help and would appreciate any help received. I am having some difficulties getting my Dynex firewire port recognized. I followed the instructions which came with the product exactly, and yet no automatic install for drivers came up. I could not find any drivers for this product online anywhere, including the Dynex website. Again, thanks for your time and any help would be great. -Josh

I eventually got this card to work on a XP SP2 machine. I think after a few Windows updates it got recognized.

This is quite an old firewire card model and according to the model number you have posted the chip on this card supports only upto windows 2000 or before, so if you are trying to run it on XP, there are no inbuilt driver support, so i think maybe you need to purchase a newer firewire card. There are are no downloadable drivers for this card because cards of this type do not require drivers to be installed as they are built into windows, but in this case not XP

possible that Windows has tried once and tagged the hardware as "present but problematic". Look in the following: 1.) right click "My Computer" icon and select PROPERTIES. 2.) select HARDWARE then DEVICE MANAGER then try to find your device. It may be easy to find if my assumption was correct because Windows will place a special thumbnail next to any problematic devices. If you cannot find it, then your device may indeed be dead, so try a friend's computer installation to narrow the field.

Hello..my name is Cameron Griffith, Jacksonville Florida. My friend accidently plugged my firewire cable upside down the other day; as a result, I was forced to purchase a new one. I bought a DX-FC103...

usually this can be achieved by going into device manager and totally removing/uninstalling ALL Firewire, then reboot, without Firewire connected, after at desktop, do not plug in your Firewire device, Then install any drivers programs to do with Firewire, and then reboot NOW, plug in your Firewire device, it may ask for drivers again,if so point it to where they are, reboot at finish, next time at desktop you should be OK.

Trying to add the Dynex wireless remote to my HP Notebook

Right below the scroll button there is an eject button. Push this and slide out the cover. You will find the battery compartment. Insert 2, AAA batteries. Be careful about the polarity. It is marked. Just match the polarity. In between the 2 batteries you will find the receiver unit. Slide this one out. Insert this receiver unit into the USB port of your laptop. Close the battery compartment cover. Turn the mouse upside down. You will find an on/off (on the right side top) switch. switch it to on position. If the mouse is not detected, press the connect button below the on/off switch. Good luck.
