Toggle the hold button on and then off while disconnected from your PC. Then hold down the menu and center button at the same time. Keep holding then until the screen flashes. Then release. Let me know if that helps, other wise you may have to do a restore and or a format.

My ipod suddenly wont mount!

The first thing you can try is unplug the Ipod from the computer. Hold down the center button while pressing down on the menu button. You should see an Apple logo appear on the screen. Your Ipod has been reset. Plug it back into ITunes.

If that doesn't work after plugging it in. You may have to restore the software in your IPod from Itunes. Make sure your songs in your IPod are on your hard drive because this will restore all of the settings back to default and empty out the memory of the IPod as well.

This system restore can be done through ITunes or by selecting the system software option from the IPod menu in the computer if you have it installed.

Option 1 should work.

Wont turn on

Have you tried to reset the iPod? The first reset to try is a "soft" one where you just turn the hold switch on and off. If that does nothing, hold down the play and centre buttons together for about 10 seconds. More info is here:
