Recommend Normal 0 Try disconnecting the Mouse Receiver from the USB port and reinstall the CD software program. When the program asks you to connect the Mouse Receiver to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud

Re toshiba techra 8000

Some laptops have a touch pad between the keyboard and the edge of the laptop. This works like a mouse except you slide your finger around the pad to move the mouse pointer and the buttons next to the touch pad are the left and right buttons.
Other laptops have a small round button in the middle of the keyboard which is a mini joystick and it is used to move the mouse pointer around, it will have a couple of mouse buttons at the botom edge of the keyboard.
You can connect a normal mouse to your laptop, it is mush easier than using the laptop's touch pad or mini joystick.

Wireless Mouse a Problem

Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it. This should connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly. If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the button on the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch. Hope this helps you. Bud

MY GE WIRELESS OPTICAL MINI MOUSE POINTER MOVES ON ITS OWN

I get the same thing from a optical with cord.

Change the pointer speed. Look in Start > Control Panel > Mouse > Pointer Options.

It's not working right....

The BenQ M310 mouse needs to "sync" with the USB receiver. Need to push the two buttons at the same time, or maybe the one in the mouse first then push the button in the USB receive so the two can "sync" to each other. This may solve this problem. Good luck!

Frozen mouse pointer

I had same problem. While I have only recently "fixed" it, I'm not sure how long-term the solution is, yet. From control panel, double-click mouse, select the "Hardware" tab and choose "Properties" button. Select the "Advanced Settings" tab, and lower the "Sample Rate" to 60 reports/second. Mine was set at 100 r/s. I also increased the input buffer to 120 (having no idea of what a normal buffer size might be). Anyway, on reboot, it worked (which is significant progress, since every reboot before, I had to uninstall drivers, remove mouse cord, scan for changes, plug in mouse, then scan for changes again, /sigh). Good luck.
