SOURCE: Panasonic SA-HT1500

Check this link. I already rresponded to this problem before. You need some "soldering" to perfom. I already have the same problem twice, those slashes are typical sign for burnt out el. capacitors.

Panasonic SA HT1500 DVR recorder...cannot erase recorded programs.

On my DVR there is a "protect" option that will prevent me from deleting a recording. You have to press the "protect" button again to unprotect it.Once unprotected you should be able to delete the recording.

SA-HT1500

We recommend you remove all speaker cables and HDMI cables from the system. Then turn the system back on and see if the U99 message appears. If it does, then we recommend having the system evaluated by an authorized service center using the below link.

Panasonic sa-he7,no sound from sub output,im using a samsung subwoofer of impedance 6

Have you looked at the manuals?

If the unspecified sub isn't self-amplified it won't work with this receiver.

If it IS self-amplified you still needt o set up the receiver to run a sub.

DVD RAM DRIVE does not recognize any contents on recorder DVDs.

First, one correction. Panasonic website for parts asks $437 plus tax and shipping for replacement part for PANSONIC SA-HT1500 dvd recorder.

My solution. I opened the box and unplug and plug back cable with black tape going to HDD, and tighten cable near DVD-RAM drive. I closed the unit, connected as before, and whooala, everything is back in normal. Apparently, so connections loose over time.
So, for now, my SA-HT1500 dvd recorder works OK, and I can see all contents on recorded DVDs and DVD-RAMs, and I am able to record from and to DVDs.

I also find out that in the worst scenario, there is flat fee charge for repair in autorized Panasonic repair center. The phone number is 847-468-5543, and it is in Elgin, Illinois. You have to leave message on their answering machine, and they will call you back. There is $130 flat fee for all parts, labor and shipping. Definitely worthy compare to ridiculous price for replacement part on Panasonic website.

Try pressing "enter" and "return" simultaneously until the X Hold message disappears. This is the child lock function activated.

I have a Panasonic SA HT1500 Recordable DVD Home Theater System for which the sound has gone. It displays the following symptoms: 1) No sound from the amplifier but I can hear a faint pop when switching...

"No sound from the amplifier but I can hear a faint pop when switching on" That means that a component, probably an IC, had blown on the Amp final circuit.

The amp must be tested and inspected by a technician.

Panasonic SC-HT1500 System Problem

You have U99 error due to TV GUIDE. Follow manual instruction for new set up, use bogus ZIP 00000 instead of real one, and you will be fine.
You will not have TV Guide working, but you will be able to set up manual timer recording without problem. I used to have that problem since the first day I bought this unit at the end of 2005. Having something "free" is usually not for free.
