Water dispenser runs slow, takes forever to fill a glass up. We've changed filters; doesn't speed it up at all. Water dispenser runs slow, takes forever to fill a glass up. We've changed filters; doesn't speed it up at all.

Have you tried removing filter and reinstalling. Try that. Also sometimes you just get bad filters. Sounds like the bypass on filter housing not getting depressed all the way
This is normal. A lot of refrigerators will cut off water flow when a door is open. It can be useful when you have guests over who don't know about it and start filling their glass. You open the fridge and take your time getting something while they stand there and think their glass is filling.
THATS CALLED A IWMS INTERGRATED WATER MANGEMENT SYSTEM :)) SAY THAT AFTER A FEW :))) YES IF ITS GOT LOTS OF BLACK MARKS CHANGE OF CLEAN IT ... ITS VERY HARD TO CLEAN AS ITS MOULDED TOGETHER ... IF IT LOOKS CLEAN CHANGE YOUR FILLING VALVE.
Your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is probably leaking. disconnect the water line coming out of it and see if you have a slow drip. Try the dispenser to see if it's just drips after use.
Hi .. first I would try and eliminate the filter as the problem. Remove the filter and try the water again. If the water flows strong, then the filter is the problem. If the water stills sputters and is low flow, then there is a partial blockage in the internal tubing , or a problem with the supply. If you roll the fridge out to get at the suppl. you could shut it off and disconnect the supply tube from the fridge, then turn the water on slowly to check the flow at the supply. If the flow is good there , then the blockage is internal.
Hello...have you checked the water pressure on your fridge line, and have you checked for any kinks in the line itself? If the water pressure is OK and there are no kinks in the line, then the water valve might need to be replaced. Any idea how old the valve is? It's a simple repair if you have to do it yourself. Hope this info helps! :)
The water does come out slow on these models. I know you said you replaced your filter with a new one and it is still not any faster.
I own a Kenmore Elite #596 73503 201. I have not changed my filter for approximately 18 months and when I timed how long it took to fill a 2 Cup measuring cup (liquid measure) it took: less than 45 seconds. Can you test yours and post back how long it takes with your fridge?
Sounds like frosting up. Defrost completely...that can take 2 days. Restart. Also, clean the condenser. Check door gaskets, clean and replace as necessary. Don't keep door open longer than necessary.
