If your LC-58Q620U TV turns on and goes to the set up screen, but then gets stuck on the "find remote" screen, there may be a problem with the remote or the TV itself.
Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:
Check the batteries in the remote. Make sure they are fresh and installed properly. If the batteries are low or installed incorrectly, the remote may not be able to communicate with the TV properly.
Try using a different remote to see if it works with the TV. If the TV responds to the different remote, the problem may be with the original remote.
Try unplugging the TV and plugging it back in to reset it. This may clear any temporary glitches or errors that are preventing the TV from responding to the remote.
If the TV still gets stuck on the "find remote" screen, the problem may be with the TV itself. In this case, you may need to contact the manufacturer or a qualified repair technician for assistance.
Overall, if your LC-58Q620U TV gets stuck on the "find remote" screen, the problem may be with the remote, the TV, or the connection between the two. Follow the steps above to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
Have you checked your remote to see if its working? If you have a digital camera or camera phone, point the remote at the lense and see if it shows up on camera screen. If it is working then the IR sensor on the tv could be bad.
Try taking the batteries out of the remote or taking it out of range from the tv. Then try turning the volume up on the Tv manually. If the volume continues to go down on its own then it is a problem with the tv set itself. If the problem stops with the remote out of the picture then it is a remote problem. As far as powering the unit off may be a similar issue. If there is an on/off button on the tv and it works to turn the power on but not off then it is a tv issue. If the remote turns the tv on but not off it may be something as simple as the wrong code being programmed into the remote(universal remote) or if it is the factory remote it may be an issue with that. You could try getting a new universal remote that works with your unit.
well if the light stays blue , that means its still on ...what you may need to do is go to your menue and select the setup selection and then go to tuning band.....i belive it will be on page 32 of you manual, under customising the setup settings....in order for the tv to start working it needs to be able to scan for channels.....if you are useing a cable company like comcast or direct tv...depending on how you pluged it into the tv ,(like using the input 1 or 2 , s-vidio, cable , ectra,)...you need to push the input button thats on the lower right side of your remote and select the propper input area as to how you hooked up your cable box
Go to the local Walmart and buy a generic controller and program it to your set. Go to MENU and follow the prompts. The remote will be less than 20 bucks, and you will have a remote that handles the TV, the VCR, the DVD, and the cable box. We go through roughly ten remotes a year. They all make the closed caption go away. One tip: don't lose the manual, or you will need to buy another remote. If the batteries fall out, or go dead, the remote will have to be reprogrammed. Underline the code numbers that work. The black box goes away when the info button on the remote is pressed.
1. UNPLUG TV
2. HOLD IN VOLUME DOWN &INPUT buttons on TV
3. Plug in the TV. (the TV will turn itself on).
4. A blue "K" should now be showing on the TV screen, release the buttons.
5. Press and release the VOLUME DOWN & CHANNEL DOWN buttons simultaneously on the TV. (A blue service menu will appear on the screen).
6. Using the remote, press the DOWN SELECT button once. (The highlighted line should read INDUSTRY INT (+CAUSE) OFF
7. Using the remote, press VOLUME UP once (OFF changes to ON).
8. Press ENTER. After a few seconds the screen turns green and shows - Industry INIT success - at the top of the screen.
9. Unplug the AC cord for 10 seconds then plug back in.
Good Luck, big IRISH.
