Question about GE 29485GE2 Three - Line Speakerphone w/ 3-way call Confere (29485GE1)
Here are some suggestions Volume You may adjust the ringer, speaker, handset and headset volumes independently with the VOLUME ^ and VOLUME v buttons. Your telephone comes with predetermined settings which can be adjusted to individual taste. You will hear an error tone when the maximum or minimum volume level is reached. During volume adjustment, a ?dashed line? icon shows in the display. Adjusting the Ringer Volume Press the VOLUME ^ or v button while in on-hook mode. And/or 1 Selecting a Ringer Tone You may select the ringer tone for each line independently. You may choose to turn the ringer off or select one of the four available ringer tones for each line. 1. Press STORE. The red indicator blinks indicating unit is in Store Mode. 2. Use the number pad to select a ringer tone 0 through 4 (selecting 0 turns the ringer off). 3. Press STORE and then press the desired line button. NOTE: The line indicators continue to flash for incoming calls even with the ringer disabled. You may not select the same ringer tone for both lines. Checking the Ringer Settings Check the setting or each ringer (on, off) by pressing STORE, followed by LINE 1 or LINE 2 button when the phone is on the hook. The ringer setting of the selected line will be shown in the display. If there are any further questions or comments please post here. Please rate this solution through fix-it. Thank you.

Thansk so much for responding!
The solution did not work as the store button never produced a red light to indicate that it was in the programming mode. There must be a step in between to activate te mode that will turn on a red light. Thanks again for any help.

Mr.Mackman knows his stuff. He was correct tht programming could not be done until a battery was inserted, now is I can just figure out which keys to program to make the ringer function work. Phone line lights up does not make a noise when a call comes in. It makes all the right noises when paging.
Special thanks to Mr Mackman for his help
