Hi
What you are seeing is a generic stuck lens error message, it just means to turn the camera off and then back on again in hopes that the lens will become un-stuck... It won't.
Your
lens needs to be repaired, and if it cant be repaired it
needs to be replaced. There are online places that will do it for a
decent price and there are others that overcharge by way too much.
Fixya rules prevent me from giving you a link to anything off Fixya that would help you fix your camera.
Cameras & hard floors are never a good combo.
Im no help, except to say that if it were mine, I'd email the camera manufacture that question, and I'm sure they'll provide some useful info.

The kit lens that came with your camera is quite cheap. Around £50.
Look for a replacement as it sounds like it is mis-alligned and the focus motor has broken.
You can then use the broken lens to tinker with.
Okay if you have luck all that's happened is you have jarred the lens contact between the camera body and lens. Make sure the camera is turned off then remove the lens and clean the gold contacts on both the lens and camera body. Remove the battery, install the lens and replace the battery, turn the camera on. If it still doesn't work shut the camera off and try another lens and see if it work properly this will tell you if it's the camera at fault or the lens. Switch lenses between known working cameras. I'm sure you will find the lens has come loose. I only once had a lens come apart from a jar (not impact) and it actual popped apart in pieces.
That's because the internal focus servomotors are out of place and can't turn the focus ring. I'm sorry but these components are located inside the lens assembly and this is not by any means an user serviceable part. It's composed of tiny servomotors, small coils and plastic parts that can get out of possition or decalibrated if the lens assembly gets opened.
A thing to try would be to hold the camera with it's lens barrel opened in one hand and hit it (gently yet still firmly) against the other hand. There are some small chances that this will bring the internal focus ring to it's former alligment. Other then this, only a service center can fix the camera, but it could turn out to be an expensive repair.
I'm sorry for having to bring the bad news. Bogdan
Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ...
Here's some things that you can do to try to correct it. They only seem to work for less than 50% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try:
I had teh same question, I'm trying to repair mine atteh moment and there is only one spring.
still trying to get teh lens back together propoerly, managed to rip a cable track so have to get another anyway... spewing..
