On some TV's the screen will go blue if there is not a strong, solid video signal present. This is to prevent the showing of very snowy or all snow channels, or garbled, mixed-up external video signals. This is normal. On some VCR's the video signal changes when the FF or REW search feature is used, and this could trigger the TV to go to blue screen. The only way around this if you can enter the TV's menu and turn off the blue screen feature.

I can't set up my tv panasonic viera TH-37LZ85 because it's in chaina language and I don't have a remote

Hi,

please use Amazon or ebay to acquire a compatible remote so that you can move forward with updating the device language. You might also call local stores that offer device rentals to request a temporary rental or use of the camera remote.

Thank you.

My VCR won't interface properly with my TV. Any time I try to play a tape, all I get is a blue screen. I've tried using it with an older TV, and the tapes play fine. Any help is appreciated.

Make sure that the tv set's rf frequency is set to the same rf as the vcr. If both are identical then something is definitely wrong with the tv set since the vcr works fine with another set.

How do you program into the dvd that you want it to fast forward quickly? There is a way but am not sure how it is done.

You don't, you just press the FORWARD button on remote during DVD playback to 'fast forward' (pressing this button a second time during playback increases forward scan speed). The forward and reverse buttons have 'SLOW/SEARCH' printed above them on the remote. The other buttons next to them are the PREV/NEXT buttons (SKIP/INDEX).

DVD playback speed/skip/search is mostly a manual user function; it cannot be auto set.

There should be a TV/AV button located with the front control buttons, press this & it should switch over to the AV source ie. your camera input.

Recording on a Panasonic VCR

This problem is undoubtably dirty or worn video heads. Try using a good quality head cleaning tape. If this fails, re-post, and I will explain how to clean heads by hand.
