Blurry I have a 61 inch Toshiba TV and recently I have noticed that the subtitles and other images on the screen become blurry....If I turn it off for a little while, it works great again, only to go blurry at the worst times! I think it's getting hot... Not sure. Any ideas? It's making me crazy!!
Do you have any idea where I can buy one of these? I am in Europe, but can buy from anywhere. We do not have a Toshiba rep here.Do you have any idea where I can buy one of these? I am in Europe, but can buy from anywhere. We do not have a Toshiba rep here.

The fluid that is used to cool the face of the 3 tubes has become clouded and discolored. This fluid is serviceable. I wouldn't try it myself if you've never done it before. A TV shop can do the job.
you must open the back cover of tv, and then things you should do is set "SCREEN" adjustment on the flyback transformer. you must turn it counterclockwise to reduce and decrease the level of screen brightness. turn screen adjustment gradually until the horizontal blanking lines disappear from the screen. and blurred images will be sharp again
You should clean your optic lens. The least technical method is to remove the screws around the sides and top of the screen frame. You can then gently pull the screen frame and mirror cover apart a couple inches. Stand on a chair and reach in with a soft cloth and gently wipe the dust off the lens. You can leave the TV on for this... it makes seeing what you are doing easier and there is no shock hazard. I hope this was helpful.
If you are comfortable on doing adjustment with working TV then take off back cover of TV and check flyback transformer, there you would see 2 control knobs, upper knob if to adjust focus. rotate it CW or CCW to obtain maximum focus on TV screen. Put back cover and enjoy.
I have a Toshiba HD LCD tV, model 37AV50U. the screen is black. I still get audio and can change the channels but the screen stays black. It doesn't even show the menu box. Is this something I can fix myself?
