Canon Pixma MP 150 will not installed in my computer

The printer drives varies with OS, even if the printer is of the same model. So goto canon website and specify your printer model and OS, download appropriate drivers and install it in Vista. Then you are good to go.

reinstall the printer driver again.

please download the required driver for windows vista from the following link :

install the driver and then restart the computer.

My Canon PIXMA MP500, purchased in mid-2006, came with the (then) ScanSoft OmniPage SE2 software on a CD. The PC had WinXP Installed. I had no use for the ScanSoft it so I made no effort to install it.
Fast Forward:
Two PC crashes later, July 2009. Using Win Vista Home Premium
LOST, important WinWord document file, only a hard copy available.
I tried to recover, scanning the "Xerox" copy. The SE Version of OmniPage was very complicated but I succeeded in producing a replacement *.doc file.

It appears that newer editions of WinVista contain the right printer drivers for this Canon Model.

Have you visited www.canon.com for software support and downloads. I did for my Mp 600 as it wasn't Vista compatible and well happy with result.

You can download the driver files here. In the Select OS window, select Windows Vista. Download both the driver and the MP Navigator listed under Software. Follow the directions to install the driver and MP Navigator on your computer.

The sticker on the box was added on (the MP830 came out a year before Windows Vista came out) and indicates that the hardware is Windows Vista certified. You can download Vista compatible drivers and MP Navigator here. (MP Navigator is under the Software heading, once you select the OS.)
