OK try booting up in "Safe Mode" Press F8 just after Turn on, when and if ya boot into safe mode then adjust your Video settings to say 1024x768x32bit and then reboot, if all good then when you are at the desktop, then adjust the settings to whatever you require... maybe 1280x1024x32bit.. Ya all good. If this doesn't work.. try the Monitor on another PC.. see if it works... if it does.. then maybe ya Video card is going/gone "Toes up" if not, then ya got a fault in your monitor, usually some sort of Power Supply problem or the like.

Sorry to have to tell you this, but this is common in LCD monitors. The reason that it is going black when it boots is for one of two reasons. You either have a bad power supply that powers your LCD or your LCD's backlight is blown. These can be repaired or you can purchase a new one. But if it goes black 9 times out of 10 is because the backlight is bad. These can be repaired!

If Power LED lits up and then turns to orange (standby mode) but no display, pls check SMT fuse (F200), replace the caps and replace 40T03GP power mosfet N-channel enhancement mode. Good luck

this should be easy...go to your desktop...right click on it and choose "personalize" it will open up a window. on the bottom it will say display settings...click on it...at the top right it should say "identify monitors" click on that...if that dosent work.click on the monitor that has a 2 on it and it will ask you if you want to add a monitor...it should work
if not, post a comment and i will check back with you
