120gb Zune won't turn on or charge

My zune died and i didn't charge it for a few months, when i went to plug it in it wont charge. I had it plugged into the wall overnight and nothing happened so i assumed the cord was just broken, so i plugged it into my computer for a while and still nothing. I tried pushing in the reset buttons as well and again nothing. Is my zune dead for good?

No probley not it needs a new battery more than likely they can be bought for around $25.00 or so no fun to put in very delicate.

Hi I can help you this is how. BUY A 4G ZUNE!!!!! cause your 30g zune is broken or something, or reset everything and instal it again

do you have the software installed? or a older version installed? if so that could be your problem with the drivers. try downloading the zune 3.0 software directly from the zune website instead of updating , here is the link to the download page

Make sure you uninstall any previous zune software first!

When you can't charge it, it can't power on. Check the charger, but also the cable and cable connectors. Perhaps you even can borrow a charger with a cord to check what is wrong. The charger to the player.

Send it in to Microsoft and they will be able to fix it for you. Otherwise, I'm sure there are online kits on how to replace the battery (but I fear they can probably get pretty messy just like phone repairs and such). Microsoft should be able to whip a new battery in there quickly.

I have not used my zune for a few months now but need to use an mp3 player so i am trying to use it again. When i plug it in to my computer using the usb cord the little battery charging sign comes up then...

First, you must not use the front usb ports on your cpu. You must plug your zune device in the back usb port. You must then download the LATEST Zune software. Install it and restart your computer. Hold the power button for 10 seconds. this should cause reset. if it does not hold it again for 15 seconds this should cause it to power into repair mode where you will then need to plug it into your computer and update the firmware with the included software. hope this helps!

Why wont my zune stay charged?

If your Zune is loosing charge quickly, its probably a battery issue. If you use your Zune often and for a long period of time, and end up charging it all the time, then your battery is becoming faulty because over time batteries loose charge. Or if its not charging, your Zune USB cable could have loose wiring. Zune 120GB owner.
