Just got this washer delivered today. First load, only a few towels, HE soap in soap dispenser and washer turned on. Water begins coming out from underneath the washing machine - quite a bit of it. We turned off the washer and the water continued to come out for another minute or so. There is no water on the wall behind the washer, connections are checked. The washer is solidly sealed and the only place the water could be coming from is underneath but how, where why.....we don't know. A little additional history: we bought floor model matching washer and dryer from Fry's electronics, paid cash for them Tuesday and they arrived this morning (Friday). Dryer is fine but what is wrong with my washer?????? Anybody???
I had the same problem of a mysterious leak. Had repair man out for 2 years no help. Now that it is out of warranty and I am mechanically inclined I decide to take the thing apart. The leak is actually near the coldwater inlet valve but it is so intermittant that I cant ever catch it actively leaking. All I know is that it leaks when it is not being used. I have even gone around to other water sources in the house thinking that the change in water pressure might cause it. No use> Went to bed no leak woke up 3 hours later water on the floor and wetness under the top cover( i said I took it apart) Not sure if a new inlet valve will fix until I actually see it leak!!!!

VERY POSSIBLY A SMALL PIPE PULLED LOOSE OR A LARGER PIPE COME OFF DUE TO TRANSPORTATION. DONT THINK ITS A BIG ISSUE . TAKE OFF BACK COVER AND REPEAT CYCLE ONCE AGAIN. YOU WILL PICK UP PROBLEM QUICK ENOUGH.

You need to fill it up a little then switch it off. tilt it backwards and if it hasnt got a base you should be able to see where the water is coming out of. check the bottom hose and around the element location.

We had the same problem with water leaking out of the bottom
somewhere. LG replaced the first washer because they could not
find the problem. Now the new washer is doing the same thing --
but not all the time! Even with the same loads, one time it's
okay and then another time it will leak. Very frustrating -- not
to mention having spent so much for a washer. We also purchased
the pedestal. Sure would be great if someone knew what was going
on.
I have the same problem, it even leaks if I pour a couple of cups of water directly into the drum, even before I turn it on!
water leaking out the bottom, I've got a base, so it is hard to see what's wrong.
