Cant transfer songs to my ipod nano

iDevices (iPod, iPhone, etc) usually can only be managed through iTunes. So the first thing you should do is install iTunes (you can download it off Apple's website).

After installing iTunes and connecting your iPod, you must open My Computer then double click your iPod's icon. Then, click on Tools, Options, and in the View tab check the "Show hidden files and folders" option. You should then see an "iPod_Control" folder. Inside it there'll be a "Music" folder, with all your songs. Just drag them back to your computer.

But remember: you can only manage your iPod's music through iTunes. If you add or change songs on your iPod without using iTunes, these songs won't be recognized.

To download songs to iPod nano: m Simply connect iPod nano to your computer. If iPod nano is set to update automatically, the download begins. Important: The first time you connect iPod nano to a computer, a message asks if you want to transfer songs automatically. If you accept, all songs, audiobooks, and other items are deleted from iPod nano and replaced with the songs and other items from that computer. If you don’t accept, you can still download songs to iPod nano manually without deleting any of the songs already on iPod nano. While music is being downloaded from your computer to iPod nano, the iTunes status window shows progress, and the iPod nano icon in the Source list flashes red. When the download is complete, a message in iTunes says “iPod update is complete.” If you set iTunes to download music manually, you can reset it later to update iPod nano automatically. To reset iTunes to update iPod nano automatically with all songs and playlists: 1 Open iTunes and select iPod nano in the Source list. 2 Click the Options button and click Music. 3 Select “Automatically update all songs and playlists.” The download begins automatically.

You just need to import your song into iTunes library, then make a playlist with the songs, plug in your iPod to computer, iTunes will detect the iPod automatically, then click iTunes menu "File -> Sync iPod", the songs will be transferred from iTunes to iPod.

Apple iPod Nano devices are using itunes.
Every purchase or Apple iPod unit are given a disc which to install iTunes in your Computer.

Is it possible that you used up all the storage space on your iPod. Try deleting a few songs on your Ipod and then try the transfer again. Good Luck

You probably had a Copy Write Protected Song that you were Trying to Transfer. They will not Transfer to the Ipod.

when you installed itunes did you check the box where it asked you to automatically eject ipod or manually eject?

take the songs from it transfer to pc, then try resyncing with itunes, hope this helps
