Question about HP PSC 500 All-In-One Printer

1 Answer

Remove and check colour cartridge HP 23, HpPSC500 error

I own HP PSC500. I refilled my HP15 black cartridge and Hp23 colour cartridge. Now the thing is when i put black cartridge, that's fine, but when i insert colour cartridge i get the following error on display of printer: REMOVE AND CHECK COLOR CARTRIDGE. VERIFY PART NUMBER: C1823A C1823G OR C1823D. and the worst of it is that the printer won't print unless both cartridges are working. So i've contacted nearest refill store and they told me that i need to insert at least three different hp23 color cartridges so that printer "forgets" the serial number of original cartridge. i did that but with no results. Reinstalling the driver didn't help. i know it's a "D", but the printer refuses to accept it. i have old empty hp23 "D", and when i inserted it the printer recognized him, so i refilled it, and the same error popped up when i inserted that same cartridge that printer recognized when it was empty. so i guess when i refill any of the empty hp23 "D" cartridges, the printer automatically refuses to accept it, and i just don't know why. i went to refill store to check if i refilled it correctly, and they said that it was ok, they even inserted it into another hp printer (sorry but i forgot the model of that printer) and there was no problem at all.

I got 3 months ago message on hp officejet j4580 display: Print cartridge problem: [Tri-Colour]. Refer to device documentation to troubleshoot. Today while printing a document, i noticed printing with...

You must be using HP60.
Have you refill your cartridge at all?

If you did, gentely wipe out the cartridge circuit part with Q-tip (with bit of alcohol).
And wipe out the circuit part in the printer where cartridge goes in as well.

And try back.
Sometimes by having some dust or bit of ink make cartridge unreadable.

If you used brand new, do same thing to cartridge circuit part.
Otherwise, there got to be some circuit shot happen in printer.

For your reference, HP4580 is pretty new model and has not cause major problem.
Good practical and durability is good.

If you would like to save money, try refill kit by "ROADINK".

Not only they are easy, but also the printing quality is good.
For your better understanding pls check out my youtube video.
And will see how easy ink refill can be done.

My out of warranty l7680 will not print or photocopy in colour. Printhead status says Refilled supply Detected in printhead Black No/Yellow Yes Magenta Yes/Cyan Yes Detected in Printer Black No/Yellow Yes...

The error states that you are using non-HP cartridges for all colours. If black prints fine then you should replace the colour cartridges with genuine HP colour carts. You should be able to get a refund on the refills since they clearly do not work as intended.

We need the catridge number of a microboard PF-2 disc printer with serial no PRF 035434 and the Model is PRF-2000-01.

It uses the color cartridge HP23 OR HP41 (You'll need to confirm this, those are different cartridges) and the black is HP45 (40ml) or HP15 (20ml).

HP 7410 printer displays error ''remove and check colour cartridge

I think that spring must have gotten loose that holds the cartridge in place, right hand side, put it back where it belongs, might want to compare with the other, black cartridge side.  Good Luck!

I have a hp office jet v 40 series fax, scanner, and copier

Get rid of the HP 45, it is not compatable, even though it looks the same. Go buy the HP15 and the problem will be solved.

HP 4280 - new black refilled cartridge not recognised

hi steve... the solution to your problem is a costly one. the printer keeps in memory 2 cartidges for colour and 2 for black, when a third is placed in the printer the first one is deleted out of memory same for the colouredand same for the black... therefore you need 3 cartridges each to do the trick.
eg. if you want to use colour cartridge #2 then 1st place colour nuber 1 or 3, then turn it on let it reads, then open door and place in colour number 3 or 1 let it read, then take out and place in coulur number 2 and it will see it as new
