Release the wire feed rollers, turn the wire feed dial up to maximum ensure you are well away from the earth clamp, pull the triger, you should hear the relay click in, if it dosn't check the 5 mil anti serge fuse positioned on either the front of the set or on the control panel near the wire feed rollers inside the cabinet. usualy covered by a plastic screwed knob, make sure the unit is unpluged before any testing.

Welder turns on but won't ark

If won't arc, then the feed is not moving the wire because the trigger button is not making a connection. Bad trigger. If the wire does feed, then your cable connection is responsible and needs cleaned and tightened.

Mechpro 100amp mig welder

It won't arc without wire in it. If the motor runs then there may not be enough tension on the feeder wheel to push the wire thru. If you had a bad kink in the inner liner it will not feed. The trigger switch in the handle applies arc voltage to the copper nozzle. It may be bad or have a broken wire.

My wire feed quit feeding wire what do i need to replace to make it work

Hi:
If your drive rollers are moving but can't push the wire all the way to the end of the gun, your problem could be the liner in your gun and/or the contact tip. Try to replace both. If your drive roller are not moving then check the trigger of the gun.

Renegase 180

This fault is typical in most MIG/MAG Units. the feed roller/s need slackening off, pull the trigger so the rollers spin wire the wire not moving, turn the tensioning 1 turn check to see if the wire feeds, if not give a half turn on the tentioner repeat this half turn untill the wire feeds, bend the wire to the torch and pull the trigger, If the wire feeds then thats the correct setting. be awear of all safety rules. use gloves
