No picture Had convergence issues about 3 months ago all went smooth replacing chips, then about 2 weeks ago , set intermittently had to warm up (about 5 min.) before you would get a picture , now warming up doesn't help at all and have sound but no picture .set is only about 6 yrs old.

Sounds like the problem started out with an intermittent solder connection possibly on the deflection PWB unless the power relay has a bad connection or is breaking down under load. If it is not the power relay, I would check the connections under the deflection board - paying close attention to the area from T701 and T752 including the Horizontal output Transistor for a short. You also have a possibility of defective filter capacitors causing the problem as well.
I would chack the solder connections at the convergence ICs first. Since the set "recovers" on its own, it suggests a connection issue rather than a defective component. Also, if the ICs were installed without sufficient heat sink compound, this could happen as well. Look at low valued resistors in the area of the ICs for signs of overheating as well.
Well, my thought is that there are a ton of knock off generic convergence IC's out there that usually hold up as long as yours did. Professionals like me will only use Sanyo original STK's. The counterfeit STK's out there are everywhere. Do some research on the web to locate Sanyo originals, they are out there.
Might be the convergence chips. Do you have any problem moving the convergence under the menu setting? Convergence chips are reasonably priced. If you know a friend or someone who can solder better than average, I would go this route. My tv wasn't that bad; I wasn't able to set 2 of the 3 colors during convergence setup. Changing the 2 convergence chips did the trick!
Hi, common issue in your set, the convergence IC`s have failed, if your real proficient at soldering & un-soldering you can replace them, if not you need to call a tv tech, video-tek
Did you replaced 2 IC convergence as well or just 2 resitors 3.9 ohms ? if you did replaced 2 IC then you might have probelm in convergence drive it is1 of the PCB mount vertical on the left side from the rear view under part BP95-00415C you need to readjust the convergence by using your remote control just follow in the servive manual
There are only a couple of things that can casuse chirping in that model...1 is the convergence ic's and the other is the flyback. There are others but these are the two most common. Who replaced the convergence chips?
Do you know how to use a meter?
do you know how to soler?
this is caused by a bad convergence module, and there are probably some dried out electrolytic caps in the circuit as well. i have one in the shop right now that came in with the same problem. if you have it serviced, make sure they replace all of the convergence modules (there are usually 2, but sometimes 3 of them), because if one went bad the other(s) is likely to go out soon as well.
