Kelvinator Split System Air Conditioner not turning on.

Hi, Our Split System Air conditioner wont turn on, i have done the following things to try to get it to work: Turned the Power to the Air Conditioner Off then Back on. Changed the Batteries in the Remote Control as there are no controls on the Air Conditioner itself. I think the Remote may be playing up as it doesnt seem to be connecting to the Air Con when i press the On button but the remote does show its display. If anyone can give me some suggestions or let me know if i need to get someone to come repair it. Model KSR27G. Cheers..

Yes i do have a Multi Meter.
I also managed to find the On Button located under the a Panel on the front of the Air Con itself & after pressing it still nothing happened.
I have checked that the Air Con has power connected & nothing else seems out of place.

I also have a split A/C KSR25F and have power to the indoor unit KSR27G. Power in to the control box and no power out to the out door unit. Do i need to change my control box or could other factors like fan motor effect the control box not out putting all in the indoor unit. TA

I can turn the Air Con on at the manual switch in the face of the unit but it won't respond from the remote. I have new batteries in the remote and get a full screen on the remote but no response from the a/c. I have pressed the reset button on the remote but still no action!

Go to the indoor section of the a/c and look to see if you have power to the unit. To trouble shoot this thing we need to start at the beginning. After the check I need you to check the transformer to see if you have 24 volts on the secondary side of transformer. You can tell it's the secondary side by the color of wires coming off of it they are blue and yellow. Black and white is primary side. I think it is a power issue but have to eliminate somethings first.

Do you have a circuit board or fan center? And if you have circuit board can you see a led light lite up.

On some remotes there is a reset button which is pressed by using the nib of a pen. Or if this does not work you should look under the cover for a manual button, most units have one, and see if the aircon responds. I suspect your remote sensor is faulty, but try the previous suggestions first.

Kelvinator Split System AC. It is flashing Error P11. Does anyone know how to fix it please?

Question edited for clarity.

Are you sure is is P11 and not PH? There is no P11 code. The first thing to try is to turn everything off at the breaker for at least 2 hours and power up. Wait 15 minutes and switch on the unit. The resets all the relays, clears errors and does a self test.

It appear to be Australian, we are in North America. Try this link

Air Conditioner Repair Help

Here is the PDF. It does not list the problem you identify but lists the contact information for Kelvinator. Bear in mind your problem could be a blockage, a bad sensor, or oddly enough, the filter needing changing. This calls for a service technician.

We are installing a kelvinator ksv70hra split system air conditioner. What size pipes does the electrician need to install?

If the installation is not done by an experienced AC technican who does not know the size of the piping , I would not recommend you to proceed further as you might end up with a faulty installation. Please get this work done by a person who knows the subject or else the pipe connections and fittings may not be good enough to prevent leak of the gas thereby reducing yourr efficiency and reduce cooling.
There is more to this than just fitting the pipes and I advice you follow them wisely.

Hi, I have a KSR27g split system air conditioner. The unit turns on with the button on the front under the panel. The unit will not turn on with the remote (remote is brand new) have tried different...

Judging by the model number, it is a Kelvinator unit. You can check if the remote works by using your phone or digital camera. When the camera is on, press a button on the remote whilst aiming the remote transmitter at the lens of your camera. If you can see a burst of light, the control works and the receiver on the indoor unit is the problem. If not, the remote is the problem.
Hope this helps
