Panasonic viera TV compatibility problem

I attached my panasonic Tv to a sony receiver good quality picture but no sound. Things that I did: 1. checked and replaced all the hdmi wires. 2. tried my sony receiver on to a samsung tv, good picture and sound. 3. turned off the "viera link" on the panasonic tv, receiver radio finally works but still no sound on tv and receiver. tried putting 'home theater' as default on the TV but unable to because vera link is off, when vera link is on then muting on the receiver comes up. 4. checked many times that I am on the right input on the receiver, because I have a good picture on the tv. Needs Help!

SOURCE: Viera Link not work between two brand new Panasonic devices

You need to select setup from the TV menu then switch the Viera link on. I think retuning must have switched it off.
This worked for me

SOURCE: My Panasonic Viera 50" 1080i

The Panasonic doesn't detect the presence of the signal on the antenna input so it just skips it. shut down the player and turn the cable box on before attempting to switch sources.
But why aren't you using the Composite RCA connection on the cable box ? Not only you would get a much better image but the tv would detect that change in the AV source and should switch by itself. If it doesn't then the control processor is faulty and the entire mainboard will will have to be replaced

It's possible that you have the wrong type of HDMI cable. You need one that has Audio Return if you want to feed your Home Theater system with audio from the TV. There are several types of HDMI cable, some with audio return and some without. The two basic types (not including Ethernet) are described below - you need the High Speed version, which does have Audio Return.

hdmi-standard.jpgHDMI Standard This is the most basic HDMI standard which all cables have to meet. Cable should contain all the connections required for HD transmission, and have to deliver at least a resolution of 720p, (Video mode of 1280 x 720 meaning 720 Horizontal lines). These cables do not contain an Ethernet connection, or audio return.

hdmi-high-speed.jpgHDMI High Speed HDMI High Speed cables will support higher resolutions of 1080p. This means at least 1080 Horizontal lines, and cables rated at this specification may well support high resolutions of up to 4096 x 2160 (2160 Horizontal lines), check individual cables specifications for this data. Cables in this specification will also support a data transfer speed of 10.2Gbs (not to be confused with ethernet data speeds which are different), and a clock speed of 320Mhz. These cables do not contain an Ethernet connection, but do include an Audio Return Channel.

Why panasonic viera picture quality all blurred

If you are driving it from a laptop, and both the laptop screen and TV are on at the same time then the laptop will be sending a blurred picture to the TV.

Toggle the laptop's picture output so that only the TV is displaying an image.

DOES PANASONIC 42" VIERA TH-L42U5S" BROADCAST VIDEO FILES FROM FLASH DRIVE? WHEN I CONNECT MY USB DRIVE TO THE TV, THE VIDEO FILES COULD NOT BE RECOGNIZED BY TV, JUST MUSIC AND PICTURES CAN BE VIEWED....

No this TV does not process video files from USB. To improve sound quality reset the sound settings to midrange on all settings. Too much bass causes the sound to be muddy, especially on vocals

Whats the best way to install a panasonic viera tc-p50x3 to a yamaha home theater receiver rx-v371 to a panasonic blueray dmpbd75 using dishnet work hddvr set top box

connect your blue ray and your dish net with hdmi cables to the amplifier than monitor out hdmi to tv .in your dvd configuration you must make sure that hdmi audio is activated .ps not to be mean but this is a very low quality dvd because it does not have fiber optique audio output but it can still work, for your dis net it all depends on what type of digital audio output
is available , ill be honest with you this is a good job .

Use the component connection not the HDMI. Some of the ATT boxes have issues with the HDMI ports. Uverse is only broadcast in 1080i not p so you will not lose any video quality.

Our Panasonic Viera 46

Seems like a hardware problem. Something is probably overheating or something like that.

I would suggest either returning/exchanging the TV (2 wks is usually in most return policies) or if you can't do that, register your TV with panasonic. After registering, call them up for service covered by your 1 yr warranty.
