Radio stopped working. Screen would go back and forth from dark to light blank. Unable to turn on or off. Had to remove battery from radio to stop the alternating sequence. Reinstalling battery and...

Either Battery is dead, not charged, or needs to be replaced. Try using another charger overnight and see if takes care of the problem. If not replace the battery. If you have a volt meter you can check the voltage on the battery and on the charger. Expected output voltage is marked on the battery and the charger. You can pick up a cheat volt meter at your local auto parts or hardware store and will help you diagnose your problems.

Car antena

IF you have a long rear window, and free of the rear window defogger lines, you can sometimes get by with the SAT antenna all the way to the back window INSIDE the car - if you have local satellite repeaters, it will work halfway decent; without local repeaters, it might be spotty.

The CD player and the CD changer don't work in my 2001 A6. I get the message CD ERR 1. Can you tell me what the error message means? I bought the car used, and never got any manuals. I also have a...

Is there a CD inside the CD player? You could try pulling the fuse for the radio (look at the fuse box panel for the exact fuse) and leave it out for 10 secs, then turn the car to the on position and leave for 20-30 secs.. turn the car off and put the fuse back in and then turn the car on and if you;re lucky, the radio will reset... This works for Volkswagens and since Audi is the same company, it should work
