Canon Powershot A60 Digi Cam

There is no Display of images now.That is after clicking on and trying to shoot photoes , the display screen should show the image of the picture viewed in the lens , but no such image is coming and after shooting also no image is coming .The display screen is blank.The play back is alright and i can view previous images. i need to solve this problem.tell me how to proceed.

Your problem isinternal circuit fault the recording section is not working. which is not giving any signal to LCD . you nee dto give itr in service centre. fault may also come in change over switch which is not giving connection to LCD. Sangita

Hi,
If your Canon A60 camera shows previously saved pictures in memory card in playback mode but does not show live view in camera mode than ccd imager chip in camera got defective and will be replaced.
Canon offers free of cost ccd imager chip replacement. Click Canon CCD Imager Advisory to avail that FOC service.

When powered on, I see the blue screen with the Cannon logo but then the display turns almost black and I can't see anything. This happened a couple of times before and I just kept moving through the...

This is a known issue of CCD image sensor in Canon A60 camera and Canon will repair it free of charge.

Wont show image in the lcd display while taking photo?

Can you more clearly what you mean "while taking photo"?If lcd not display image...is that any text or symbol in the lcd?If you can still see the symbol or text in the lcd, I think you have trouble in your lens or ccd.
Trouble in the lens usually make the lcd display white screen. And, if ccd trouble the lcd display white horisontal line and if so hard broken the lcd display black screen, but the symbol or text is shown.

Canon Powershot SD1000: LCD screen display

Hopefully you resolved this already. If not, push the "DISP." button left of the MENU button. Pushing it gives you three options: black (for discreet shooting so your LCD doesn't give garner dirty looks from fellow concert goers), liveview, and liveview with info overlayed (shooting mode, ISO, etc.).
