I was just curious to know if anyone knows any solutions. I have a sony xplod model #CDX-CA760X and plugged in what i thought was the auxillary(red and white) and then straight to my ipod but there was no way to go to auxillary in the menu. I would really appreciate any help on this maybe there is another way to hook it up straight to the ipod. I have one of those fm transmitter types but the sound quality is unacceptable.

Re: Having problems hooking up an ipod.
The "bus audio input" works as an auxiliary input on some Sony decks, but not all. For the others, you need an auxiliary input adapter like this one:
You can also use a Sony iPod adapter that will charge the iPod and let you control it through the head unit controls:

I do not know of any amplifiers with the number your calling for here but i do know of some head units. Your tweeter wires should hook up right with your mid-range wires. They can both run off the same circuit in a series.
Make sure that you have the antenna plugged in and if you have a power antenna make sure that you hook up the solid blue antenna wire behind on the radio harness to the power antenna wire from the car plug.
Some Sony head units let you use the Bus audio inputs as an auxiliary source input, but yours is not among them. To play your iPod through the head unit, you'll either need an iPod interface module: http://www.xplodsony.com/xplod/accessories/XA-110IP
or an auxiliary input module: http://www.xplodsony.com/xplod/accessories/XA-300
The iPod interface will allow you to control and display the iPod directly through the head unit, while an auxiliary input adapter will allow the iPod to play through the head unit using the iPod's controls and display.
