Songs distorted/echoing and won't play at full volume
When I'm listening to songs on the MuVo TX FM 256MB mp3 player, the songs are echoing somewhat, and aren't playing at full volume. Listening to the file on the mp3 then on my computer for comparison, it sounds like perhaps the bass or something has gone out? I know it's not my headphones or the files themselves. Everything else is working fine as far as I can tell; the radio sounds normal. Is there any way to fix this, or is it just old age? I think I've had this poor thing coming up on four years now...
iPods are too expensive for my budget. I only have a replacement mp3 player because a friend gave me one, and even that one's going out. Never worked as well as the MuVo in the first place.

Voice echos and fades in and out, I think the base is missing and background voices are nonexistent.Voice echos and fades in and out, I think the base is missing and background voices are nonexistent.

My MuVO TX was having problems until I installed the latest firmware.
The last firmware release was in March 2007. If you haven't updated
the player's firmware since then, try downloading it and installing Creative MuVo TX FM Firmware 1.24.02.
