Question about Creative Labs Nomad MuVo TX MP3 Player

1 Answer

Songs distorted/echoing and won't play at full volume

When I'm listening to songs on the MuVo TX FM 256MB mp3 player, the songs are echoing somewhat, and aren't playing at full volume. Listening to the file on the mp3 then on my computer for comparison, it sounds like perhaps the bass or something has gone out? I know it's not my headphones or the files themselves. Everything else is working fine as far as I can tell; the radio sounds normal. Is there any way to fix this, or is it just old age? I think I've had this poor thing coming up on four years now...

iPods are too expensive for my budget. I only have a replacement mp3 player because a friend gave me one, and even that one's going out. Never worked as well as the MuVo in the first place.

Voice echos and fades in and out, I think the base is missing and background voices are nonexistent.

Only have 50 songs on my muvo tx fm mp3 player and it is full

Hi,

This is the file system problem. Use the below tool to solve it.

http://ccfiles.creative.com/ManualDn/Applications/PDE/11124/0x46D235F9/CT-RT_PCAPP_2_01_03.exe

BEFORE YOU START

  • Check that the MP3 Player Recovery Tool supports your player.
  • Ensure that you are using Windows XP® Service Pack 2 32-bit, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition or Windows Vistaâ„¢ (32-bit or 64-bit version).
  • Back up the contents of your player, if possible, as recovering your player may require it to be re-formatted, erasing all content.
  • Make sure your player battery is at least 50% charged.
  • Detailed usage instructions are available in our Knowledge Base.

Shuts Down

My MuVO TX was having problems until I installed the latest firmware. The last firmware release was in March 2007. If you haven't updated the player's firmware since then, try downloading it and installing Creative MuVo TX FM Firmware 1.24.02.

Beeps and changed product description

Try reinstalling the Creative Mass Storage Driver 1.07.00.250 so that your computer properly recognizes your player again.

Once you have done that, try reinstalling the latest firmware update, Creative MuVo TX FM Firmware 1.24.02.

The suggestion didnt work any other ideas?

need to reformat. If that doesn't solve the problem, then reloading the firmware with an older version may be your only option.
