Problem could be a fan problem or heat sensor or power ballast. Or at a board level a circuit board component failure - IC, capacitor etc Best to have it serviced by an authorised repair shop for Mitsubishi projectors. Regards Kevin Andreassend http://www.iceav.co.nz [email protected]

How do i check the lamp life on the lvp-x300? how do i check the filters for dust?

For lamp life time, locate the UP, DOWN, and ENTER buttons on the keypad on the projector itself (not the remote) and press all three at the same time. The manual says you may get up to 2000 hrs., but we had to change ours at our church after 681 hrs., it was getting dim. There are filters on the bottom and front of the unit--find them and clean them!

Projector will not project light (Mitsubishi LVP-X80U) LCD Proje.

Hello toma_leonard,

First check your lamp to make sure it is seated properly in the socket.
Then check all of your interlocks (see your manual for locations), these are usually located on any hatches or doors that allow access to the lamp and or fan area. Once you check your interlocks make sure the filter and fan area is clear of dust, (some projectors have air flow sensors), and the recheck the interlocks. Once this is done , If the interlocks are not broken, or the lamp fuse blown, the projector should be working. If not it is the lamp that needs changing.

I know this may be expensive, however these lamps do go bad, as much as we wish they would not.

If you still feel it is not the lamp, have a technician check the voltage levels to the lamp and the levels of the control board circuitry.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,
