hey download the bus driver first . u can get it from microsofts website i too did the same but i have forgotten the link. sorry find the driver and first install driver for the BUS. then install the audio driver

u r hard drive didnot configured properly (it is in default)
go to cmos settings change hdd mode from sata to ata r some like that & save it
now try to re install.i will tell u tomorrow if u require.

you sould be able to update direct x to the latest version from microsoft downloads site http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0A9B6820-BFBB-4799-9908-D418CDEAC197&displaylang=en you will not be able to unintall directx as it is part of windows, the problem comes when games request installation of older direct x versions and then becomes corrupt, so if you have installed anything requesting directx, try and do a system restore to a date previous to the installation. You can run this test to see which version you have installed and check for problems, click Start>run, then type 'dxdiag' and press enter.

Have got the XP Recovery disc that came with the Machinew. It is also likely the memory is not enough for heavy work such video and games.

Try to turn off automatic updates. Right-click on MyComputer icon, select properties, Click on Automatic Updates, turn off automatic updates. Maybe it's trying to download updates automatically and this will slow down the computer. If that is the problem, you have to make sure you get all your updates manually first and then change back settings to automatically download updates afterwards. Please let me know if this still doesn't help.
