Dishwasher seems to work fine but does not drain i have checked all drain hose and drain pipes heir are no obstructions but it still does not drain i have disconnected the drain tube from drain and water will then drai out of unit but this is only from gravity
If it gravity drains, but the pump does not push out the water.......replace the drain pump. I just repaired an 8-year-old Frigidaire dishwasher with this very problem, and although it sounded like the pump was operating, it was not....it was just vibrating. I replaced the drain pump and it now works perfectly. I am a service tech with 38 years experience.

I had a similar issue. I took off the drain hose, ran hot water thru it and removed the hose going into the garbage disposal there was some built
build up on the inside, cleanness it good put through houses back together and everything was fine. Hope this
Hello there and thank you for choosing fixya Ok there are acouple of things that can be checked on this along with what you have already checked Drain solenoidBeneath
some dishwashers, there's a timer-activated drain solenoid (an
electro-magnetic coil) that opens a drain valve, to drain the wash water
through a hose and out to the house's plumbing waste system. If this is failing it will not allow the water to drain from the machine fully TimerDishwashers
have a timer behind the main control panel at the front top of the
dishwasher, or behind the lower access panel. It is either a mechanical
device like a simple clock, or it's completely electronic with just a
digital readout. The timer runs the dishwasher in a pre-determined
pattern. It provides the electricity to all of the dishwasher components
at the correct time, for the correct length of time.
if there is still water in the dishwasher take the drain hose off from under the sink and use a large pot or mop bucket and but the unit into a drain mode usually by cancelling the wash cycle if the unit still does not drain. Then use a wet dry shop vac and attach it to the end of the drain hose to remove the water
after the water is gone check the drain pump for any kind of obstructions you may need to replace the drain pump
You don't list the make and model of the dishwasher, but generally, when an older dishwasher is not fully draining and the remaining water is not clean, the wash pump motor is failing.
But first check the drain hose from the base of the dishwasher clear to the drain. Make sure the hose is not obstructed. If that hose connects to a disposal, check closely the drain pipe on the disposal.
OK,,,,,,,,,,,seems to be the pump impellars or either clogged with grease ect. Find the pump amd remove the cover to it that you can have access to the inner impellar. I have seen this problem before and found that this was the problem , I hope this is yours. Goood luck RC
You have an obstruction in either your rubber drain hose running from the machine to the drain pipe, or in your actual pipe itself. Make sure the hose has no kinks in it or hard turns to obstruct the flow of drain water when the machine is trying to drain it out. Good luck!
