I have a starnge issue with my cell phone. Red L.E.D. on the front stays on at all times. When you power down the phone it will not power back up on its own. You have to plug it into a charger to get the phone to power backup. I thought it might be a battery issue so I switch it with another known good battery. Same problem, LED stays on and You can not power back up while unplugged from charger.
About the only hope of repair I can see is to clean the charging/data connector with 99.9% rubbing alcohol and dry the phone out gently for a while with warm dry moving air, that might work if your very lucky. Best of luck!

Yep, same thing going on here except now it won't even power up.
I also have the same issue and no documentation exists in the users manual about what the LED light's color means. The manual states "LED Indicator shows your phone's connection status at a glance." I know flashing red means it's on mute, flashing green means a call is going through I think and possible solid green means it's on an active call. Of course, the last 2 I'm not 100% sure of because I never paid attention to the LED when the phone was working :(
I'm havng the same issue, pluged it in to charge & now it won't power up.
