I have tried making sure the oil level was full, cleaned carburetor, removed breather filter even though it was already clean and it still will not stay running unless fuel is kept sprayed into the carburetor. I have removed the bottom bowl of the carburetor and it has fuel in it, removed the hose from the fuel shut-off pitcock and there is fuel flowing freely but still will not run ??? Any solutions would be greatly appreciated !!!I have tried making sure the oil level was full, cleaned carburetor, removed breather filter even though it was already clean and it still will not stay running unless fuel is kept sprayed into the carburetor. Re: I have a UST GG7500 Generator and it will not stay...
Make sure there is enough oil, some generators wont start when oil level is low to protect from damage. Also have you cleaned the fuel injector, they get dirty and clogged just like a car.

If there is a spark at the plugs ignition is fine, spraying starter in the intake should allow it to at least fire?? even if you had a carb / fuel issue. I would recommend a compression test and better still a leakdown test to determine if you have weak compression
If it has been sitting for a while the electrical field may need to be flashed. Check falshing a generator and follow the directions. This should excite the generator and start generating again.
OK, you have a hard to find info on model. My first thought is that your choke is still on.
Does it have a manually activated choke? If so you know what to do, after she kicks, turn it off.
If it is one of the new Auto-choke units you may need to find the choke linkage and disengage
it that way. I have asked for a manual for your from UTS. We will see what they send, or dont!
As with all engines, if left in storage for long periods of time, use fuel stabilizer and try and start
the engine every 30 days and let it run for 10-15 minutes just to warm up and keep everything moving.
You have a fuel problem. Fuel filter clogged? Carbuerator may need cleaning. Is there a hidden fuel shutoff valve? I have left mine closed... it is embarassing but it happens. I assume you put the choke on initially...
Sounds like you need to clean the carb ports, lines, jets, etc... purchase a carb spray cleaner with a tube to place on the spray head (Berryman's Chemtool B-12 is awesome). Take the carb loose from the generator, and remove the bowl, needle valve and spray carb cleaner thru all the holes, lines in the carb. Reinstall complete with air cleaner and retry... also if the gas is old, drain and replace with new...
Plug something into the outlet and have the breaker on when you start the generator. If it has an automatic idle control, turn that on too. A load will energise the generator.
