My washing machine starts to fill with water but for only 30 seconds and then abruptly stops. The machine does continues through a full cycle. But without water!!! My only problem is that the washer never fills completely with water!! I know that it is getting water since it does start to fill, but never for more than 30 sec. Your help is appreciated!!!
We have had two service companies out here, they have changed the Pressure Switch and the control board but the same problem still exsists. They have blown out the pressure switch hose and it seems to be clear. Any othe suggestions as Whirlpool was not much help to the tech.
It was actually the pump-motor as it was not pulling the water to recirculate. The motor was clogged with fabric.

Re: Will not Fill
BELIEVE IT OR NOT, THOSE TWO ITEMS THAT WERE REPLACED SHOULD HAVE RECTIFIED THE PROBLEM.ONE NEEDS TO KNOW IF THE BOARD THAT IT WAS TESTED WAS IN EFFECT A NEW ONE OR NOT. IF IT WAS I WOULD SUGGEST DISCONNECTING ONE HEATER WIRE (IF HEATER IS USED) THEN PULLING THE PR.SWITCH PIPE OFF FROM THE TUB AND SUCKING A VACUME ON THE PIPE. THIS WILL INDICATE A LOW LEVEL CONDITION AND ASK FOR MORE WATER.IF FILLING TIME IS THEN RUNS FOR A LONGER PERIOD, THEN THE PROBLEM IS WITH A DEFECTIVE PR.SWITCH.

Good Morning Juan, thank you for allowing me to assist you!
Generally, error code E11 indicates that your washing machine is taking a long time to fill (or is continuing to fill).
·Is the incoming water flow normal? If it is, does the fill water continue to enter the washer? If yes, disconnect power from your washing machine. Did the water fill stop? If so, a service technician may need to check the pressure sensor or switch to determine if it needs replacement.
·If your water flow is abnormal, double-check water faucets to ensure they are in the "on" position. If on, your incoming water pressure may be above 30 PSI and could need adjusting. Check for any kinked or blocked water hoses or clogged water screens. If you've cleared the water screen and/or unblocked any kinked water hoses, and the problem still persists, it could possibly be a water inlet valve assembly.
·If you have checked all of the above, your washer may need a main control board replacement. I would recommend contacting a qualified service technician to further assist you in diagnosing this issue.
Try this. With the wash tub empty, start to fill with water. Without turning washer off, unplug the washer from wall.
If water filling stops (hot and cold), then you are looking at a bad timer assembly. Replacement isn't that hard, parts can be difficult to find though.
If water continues to fill, your valve body / solenoid assembly is likely full of lime-scale. Easily replaced.
1.Drain hose is too low. Minimum 30 inches from the floor.2.Water fill valve is defective. If it fills with timer set to OFF,replace the water fill valve. 3. The Air hose from the tub to the water level valve is pinched or stopped up with soap scum. Check the air hose for a pin hole, pinched or obstructed..
You either have a defective pressure switch or water inlet valve. Start to fill the machine with warm water so that both solenoids on the water inlet valve (hot and cold) are activated. After about 30-60 seconds, push the timer knob in to stop water flow. If the water continues to flow, replace the water inlet valve. If this is the case, it may take a few times of starting and stopping water flow to allow solenoid to heat up and become symptomatic. If water flow stops abruptly each time knob is pushed in, you most likely have a defective pressure switch (water level switch).
Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.
Jmars, under the consol there is two pressure switches. One controls the fill and the other is back-up incase the other fails. It sounds like your water pressure switch is tripping too soon. Try putting the washer into a self test mode by pressing in this order soak--soil level---soak--soil level. The machine should enter a test mode. Let it run it's test and see if you come up with any error codes. The pressure switch is the one on the left under the consol. It will be marked OPR, the part number is 8054766. The consol will lift up by using a putty knife under each end, pushin on the clips and lifting up. The back panel of the consol is removable. Catriver..post back
