Itouch shows connected but when used says theres no internet cone

first of all get the latest software. i think the latest one is ovi and not the nokia pc suiteafter having it make sure you are using the correct settings in your mobile then try to connect itif it doesn't connect call your customer care and tell themthere are few networks for which the settings in ovi must be entered manuallyas you have not provided your service provider name i cant help you out much

I had exactly the same problem with a brand new 3rd gen iTouch. It showed it was connected to the network but wouldn't access anything (invalid argument etc). I tried everything but no joy. Eventually I fixed it by changing the router's encryption from WEP to WPA2-PSK. Fixed it like magic. Where there had been no router or DNA data before, they were suddenly filled in. The key was different but was still on the bottom of the router. I had to re-enter the key on my wireless laptop but that was a small price.

You can get into the router set-up page through your web browser. I found a guide on You Tube.

You maybe have connected to a weak signal.
btw, it always would show like a full signal bar, but is fake...

This happened to me as well. Turned out the iPod touch doesn't support WEP encryption properly, and sometimes can't log onto those networks.

If your network is WEP-encrypted, try changing it to WPA.

it is telling you to connect the ipod with itunes

use the warranty to get a new one

Remove all the data from Itouch, takes about an hour. then reload using itunes. now all work fine together!

You might need to get a new version of safari for your itouch.

I FIXED MINE THIS MORNING!!!

try this! If your iTouch says you are connected to your network but you can't surf and you've been able to connect in the past...you have to reset your network connections on your iTouch.

Go to Settings
Go to General
Go down to Reset
Go to Reset Network Settings
It will ask for your iTouch Passcode...enter it
Then, hit the red "Reset Network Settings"
After that, go back to "Wi-Fi" in Settings...
...and connect to your network again. It might ask you for your WEP password, if it does, enter it.
The IP Address, Subnet Mask, Router and DNS fields should now have entries in them.
Surf Away!!

It's since the touch doesn't officially support WPA PSK and only supports WPA2. What will work is WEP and although it is less secure very few people will bother cracking your network. If you continue to have problems with your secured connection try putting the hex key instead of the passphrase (you set hello as your password the hex would something like 0X34Hg65) it is usually displayed just beneath the password you set.
