I would love to have that service manual. My Philips 37PF7320A died 4 days ago with the typical 1-4 blinking lights. The fuses are fine but I found a 100 ohm 1/4 w resistor that was dead and replaced it, but no change. Now I have looked closer at the "dead" resistor and after the brown-black-brown and there is a poorly applied green band before the gold one, so I'm not sure what I have. I guess I need to get a high resistance tester off eBay.

check out this website, it's got everything you need. I have to give all the credit to Alain, a brilliant guy in France who dug in and solved the problems. he gives instructions for the professional to fix the problem, but he also gives the sources for the power supply board to be purchased and for the little chip that causes most of the problems. I decided to take a risk and save some money and bought just the chip for $20 and very carefully soldered it in after removing the old one. The tv is fine a month later. The board comes out with no soldering, just some quick connectors and the back of the tv will come apart after you remove all the screws and the base by gently prying the back case from the front bezel along the sides of the tv. if you look closely, you will see the small cavities to pry from.

The power board numbers you need to search for on eBay is 310432847531 or 310432838621 - they are compatible according to Philips.

This is symptom of weak lamp in TV.
How old is this TV and did you replaced lamp recently?
If not, replace lamp in TV to fix this issue.
Lamp light does not lit solid if lamp is not broken or dead.
Lamp replacement procedure is easy and would written in user manual.
