Oven keeps beeping and displaying F1

It's very random, but all of the sudden the oven will start to beep and then show a list of items on the left. The list includes: I thought it needed cleaned so I set it to self-cleaning mode and it did

I have the same problem, when it beeps I get a code of F1.

Probably the clock and/or control board could be failing at random. The erratic oven start-up could present a safety hazard.

Oven keeps beeping:
As there is no reprogramming of most control boards try this, disconnect the power and wait 30 seconds and then reconnecting the power.

If it's an "F1" fault code this generally implies an electronic oven control (EOC) failure. Disconnect the power, wait 30 seconds or longer and then reapply power. If "F1" returns upon power-up, replace the electronic oven control.
The oven control can be accessed and replaced from the rear of the control panel.

NOTE:Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the panel from behind the console.
If its an F2 ERROR CODE, The F2 error indicates an open circuit in the oven temperature probe.

Your range has a resettable thermostat in series with the oven temperature probe. If this thermostat opens the clock will display F2 and the oven won't heat.
You can reset the thermostat by pushing in the reset button on top of the thermostat.
Some ovens have an alarm that will beep continuously every six seconds to alert you that the oven is still on. Usually, a kitchen timer that you have set will cause the beeping, but occasionally it can be an error with the oven's settings. If it is the kitchen timer, you can simply push the "Kitchen Timer On/Off" button to end the continuous beeping. If that does not stop the beeping, it is probably beeping due to an error. You can turn the continuous beeping off but you may still need to troubleshoot the issue that is causing the beeping noise.

I had the oven on 350 for 45 min. baking potatoes and then the oven beeped twice and F1 showed up on the screen where it had said 350 so I turned the oven off and the time then showed on the screen. ...

The manual says error code "F1" means a problem occurred in the circuitry and suggests pressing "CLEAR" to reset it. If the problem persists, contact a repair guy.

Electronic control has detected a fault condition. Press CLEAR to clear the display and stop the beeping. Reprogram oven. If fault recurs, record fault number, press CLEAR and contact an authorized servicer."

Our GE double oven is 17 years old and I suddenly had an F1 code displayed, followed by a beeping sound, fololwed by the clock not working. Tha bottom oven still works. What does the F1 code mean?

F1 usually means that electronic control clock is faulty, the remedy is to replace it .

-F1- Alarm “System Watchdog Circuit”
The system will detect a failure in the internal watchdog element relay circuits and will activate a
cancel feature. F1 will be displayed in the time digits and will beep until the cancel button or another
function is selected. An F1 failure could be detected in cook or time of day mode. With an F1 failure
the ERC is picking up a command to supply heat without receiving an input from the membrane. The
watch dog circuit is designed to prevent this.
If the beep continues after pressing cancel check the main control (ERC)

Hi

F1 error means that you have either a bad ERC (clock) or a bad touch pad. To check these please follow these simple instructions:

Disconnect power to stove
Gain access to the back of the clock (electronic range control or ERC).
Unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC. This will be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide.
Make sure everything is clear and will not short out when power is turned back on.
Turn power back on to stove.
Watch for the F1 and listen for the beep.
If you get the F1 and beep, replace the ERC.
If after approx. 30 minutes you do NOT get the F1 and hear the beep, replace the touch pad...

2. Or change power relay board (PRB).

The touch pad may be defective. There is a membrane behind the buttons that will cause problems like that. The only cure is to replace the touch assy.
